Had a very poor experience at Nori and somehow this place was even worse. We ordered two tonkatsu ramen to go. The ramen both had gelatin buildup, meaning it didnt seem like it was heated and stirred. I had to pour it into a pot at home to heat and stir it to get flavor into the broth. Also we got two orders of tonkatsu but the broth was not the same color between them. One was a more expected creamy color but the other was dark. They included katsu, fish cakes, and a hard boiled egg on the side. The katsu seemed old, discolored, cold... Just overall very stale. And it was not seasoned at all so it just tasted like old oil. Very gross. At least put some salt on them? Like please just season the panko before breading the pork? Also the egg was just a straight up hard boiled egg, cooked all the way through and not cooked with the broth. 0/10 egg The broth was actually ok once I re-prepared it but there was very little broth included. Way too many noodles, very little broth.
Not sure on their process for ramen to go orders but seems like a lot is wrong. Will not be returning.
The guy on the phone was very nice but otherwise the staff was very...
Read more1st time going here last night and it was very accommodating to everyone that was inside. Seating was set up close together but still not too invasive. Waitress was very friendly and courteous. The fish quality here seemed on point 👉 The atmosphere was good inside as well and bathrooms were clean. Prices of the food were very comparable to the other sushi establishments in the area like hama and red 8 Only 2 things I didn't like that much which could have been a chef issue or it seemed they were training somebody but on my hand rolls which I believe they call "freestyle rolls" they were not closed on the bottom so alot of rice fell out. Also in my poke bowl and my rolls containing tuna the tuna was not cut properly and I had alot of real fatty pieces in the poke bowl as well and in the rolls some pieces were hard to chew but the fish still tasted good. I would go back and try it again sometime and I'd reccomend it...
Read moreWe usually love Tapa, but tonight was a huge disappointment. We ordered our food for pickup through the website. Got home started eating and my daughter bit into her sushi and bit a piece of glass. It hurt her tooth, but thankfully she did not swallow the glass, especially with how sharp the piece was. I called Tapa right away and unfortunately, they were not very helpful, and showed no concern. I was referred to DoorDash, who Tapa uses for their online ordering, and had to explain to 3 different people what happened. Then DoorDash only refunded a partial amount of our order, even though we didn’t dare eat the rest of our food, we had to waste 3/4 of it. This is a massive health and safety issue, and I feel it was not treated as such. We understand things happen sometimes, but the lack of concern from Tapa and DoorDash was very frustrating. Unfortunately, this has deterred us from eating at Tapa for...
