Pathetic service!!

I'm usually one to find the silver lining, but my recent visit to Kandoo Bakery left me utterly baffled and frankly, insulted. On a long weekend Sunday afternoon, when you'd expect a bustling cafe, Kandoo was a ghost town. Seriously, just one other customer besides us. Great, I thought, quick service! Oh, how wrong I was. The sole hostess, bless her heart, was engaged in what appeared to be an endless, rambling conversation with that single customer. For 15 to 20 agonizing minutes, we stood there, patiently waiting to simply be acknowledged. It wasn't like she was slammed; she literally had one person to deal with. We tried to catch her eye, subtle shifts, polite coughs – nothing. It was as if we were invisible. The conversation meandered on, utterly oblivious to our presence, our growing frustration, and the sheer audacity of being ignored for so long in an empty establishment. We eventually had to walk out, not because we didn't want anything, but because the blatant disregard for our time and the complete lack of basic customer service felt like a personal affront. My wife and I visited the kandoo bakery on Saturday and purchased 6 persian yazdi cup cake we were charged a shocking price of $30 for cup cakes so small cup cakes almost $5 a piece. But what made us even more surprised than the price was when we got home and tried them they were dry old very old the cake mix was two color and we couldn't even eat the I was so angry I just tossed them all in the garbage. I have not only called the store Iand left a massage I have also left a note on their web page but no one have responded to me regarding this issue to 1st explain the price then the bad and old dry cup cakes we got for refund or credit. I don't recommend this bakery any more to anyone the price is outrageous too expensive overpriced taking advantage of the location and the look and the fancy boxes but the quality doesn't speak the pricing. We use to drive from san Francisco here but things have changed and quality has gone down then the price have gone up. We went to the place and purchased cookies and cakes to take home and had coffee and pastries at the store. I must say that most of the servers were very nice at this time. However, we went back the following week and had coffee and pastries there and this time A. The coffee was light and when we asked if they have better coffee they told us not till an hour or so because I must finish this pot. B. The pastries were Not Fresh and were at least couple days old ! I must mention that we Went there after their usual days off . I paid top dollar and could not eat it! When I asked them about fresh pastries they told me not till tomorrow because the owner/baker was in Southern California etc. C. I MUST SAY THAT THEY DO NOT DISPLAY ANY PRICES ON THEIR PASTRIES AND COOKIES AND THEY CHARGE A DIFFERENT PRICE EVERY TIME!!!!!!
