š„i am amazed by this cool place called: The Hero Ranch Kitchen, tucked away in Saratoga. It's the sister restaurant of Flowers Saratoga, but unlike the Michelin-style Flowers, this place offers a casual farm-style fusion of French and Italian cuisine, at a lower price point. Plus, it's conveniently located! Half of the seating area is outdoors, showcasing a charming farm ambiance that lets you savor the open-air atmosphere. I've been there once with friends after a shooting session, and now on my second visit, I'm sure it will be a different yet equally rewarding experience. š„The restaurant is famous for its small plates, perfect for sharing among a group of friends. My companion and I tried two appetizers, two main courses, and enjoyed three drinks. Since I don't drink alcohol, I was glad they offered mocktails, non-alcoholic cocktails, too! š¹ š„Appetizers: š„Rack of Lamb: $28. This dish is a highlight and a must-try for friends. It's definitely a main course-sized portion and can be enjoyed as such. It's seasoned with a special lemon tomato sauce and unique spices! š„Grilled Mexican Street Corn: $10. This dish is incredibly appetizing and delicious. The portion size is not too big, making it highly recommended! š„Main courses: š„Cowboy Ribeye with Lobster Tail: $68. I chose this dish as it was a special offering for the day, a seasonal item. Since my friend really wanted to try it, we decided to order it. The lobster tail was incredibly tender, and the ribeye was cooked to perfection. However, I didn't find it particularly outstanding. I can only say that for the price, the combination of lobster and ribeye was definitely worth it! š„Seafood Dumpling Pasta: $32. I particularly loved the Italian-style dumpling pasta, paired with crab paste. It was a delightful experience to chew on it. However, it was a bit heavy on carbs. Otherwise, I could have easily devoured two bowls myself! š„Parking is available on the street, and there are a few small parking lots in the first few blocks, although they require a short walk. š„The total bill for two people came to just over $200, including tips and gratuity, averaging $100 per person. If you enjoy fine dining, I recommend gathering a group of three to five friends, sipping on some cocktails, and enjoying a wonderful evening together.

Add HRK to your list of fine dining establishments and you wonāt be disappointed. My wife and I finally made it back after several years, and weāre glad we did. We booked an early (5:15pm) table for a light bite. They open at 5pm, and the restaurant was starting to get full even at that hour! I strongly suggest reserving a table well in advance regardless of the time of day or the size of your group. We specified outdoor seating. When we were taken to a table towards the back of the patio, we protested (gently) and were immediately redirected (graciously) to a table a bit closer to the door. It was a much better location but we still felt cramped. Plexiglass dividers between tables are a good idea these days but they add to the somewhat claustrophobic feeling. Our extremely friendly and upbeat server definitely got the ownerās message about the importance of āpersonal interactionā. She may have been trying a bit too hard, but we didnāt mind. Everyone on the HRK staff was equally cheerful. We wanted a light ātapas styleā meal so we just ordered three starters. We started with the Ahi Tower which was was terrific, with super-fresh sashimi grade tuna on top of creamy avocado slices and tortilla chips. Our Fried Chicken Sliders were fried just right on the outside, nice and tender on the inside, delicious, and much more filling than we expected. The only disappointment was the coating on the Tempura Green Beans. Weāve had them in the past but this time they just didnāt seem as fresh and crisp. As far as we know, this is the only restaurant that offers wine by the bottle at retail prices. The $25 Sauvignon Blanc that we ordered wouldāve been at least $50+ elsewhere! Itās $10 per glass so it makes sense to order a full bottle (and take the rest home) if you just plan to drink a couple of glasses. Thereās no corkage fee either. In summary, you donāt need to wait for a special occasion to enjoy this destination restaurant, with delicious farm-to-table food and impressive service. Weāll definitely be back soon.

Excellent! We have always wanted to try Hero Ranch. We just happened to be driving through downtime Saratoga and got lucky getting a table on a Friday night. The worst part of our evening was trying to decide what to order. Everything looked great. We were a little tight on time so we ordered a few plates to share. Our server Jasmine was fantastic. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is nice, comfortable and not too fancy. The place is nice enough to go on a romantic date, but casual enough to stop in with jeans and a nice T-shirt. We started with the Truffle Onion soup. It is definitely rich with a heavy cream, but the flavor is incredible. Deep onion flavor but not overpowering. The truffle oil adds a nice touch to the soup. Next up was the buttermilk fried chicken and cornbread appetizer which was a recommendation from our server Jasmine. My wife is a cornbread expert and Heroās cornbread got her approval. It is baked in a skillet which adds a crispy texture to the outside which she loves. The addition of the jalapeƱo honey adds a nice sweet and spicy kick to everything. The chicken was cooked perfectly with a crispy outside crust and tender white meat. Overall a great combination. We were a little disappointed with the Shaved Brussel Sprout and Pecan Salad. The salad was overloaded with apple and had very little Brussel Sprouts. The candy beacon is really good, but the lemon and pecan vinaigrette dressing is way too weak. The combination is nice, but a dressing that is more intense and more Brussel sprouts could really improve the dish. We will definitely return. We want to try the Carnitas Cups, Thai Taco Trio and Bone In Rib Eye. As a side note, we asked if we could purchase an apple for my wifeās horse we were on our way to visit. Jasmine helped us out and even gave us a choice of a green or red apple. We canāt wait for our next visit!

Where do I even start with this raving ten star review? āļø Weāve dined at Hero Ranch many times before, along with its sister restaurant Flowers Saratoga that is adjacent. So when it came time to celebrate three of our birthdays, it was an easy choice to come here. We made reservations a week in advance. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by a friendly hostess. We sat outside on the patio which was cozy with heaters and individual blankets at each seat. While the cocktails and food were excellent, what truly made our celebration extraordinary was the exceptional service from our server, Richard. He was thoughtful, engaging, humorous, and an incredible listener, perfectly resonating with our group's personalities. Additionally, the other staff members who assisted us throughout the night were incredibly kind and friendly. At the end of the night, we were pleasantly surprised with birthday desserts, ice cream topped with caramel popcorn and a candle, which was delicious. And to top it all off, several employees were wonderful enough to join in on singing happy birthday to us, adding a magical and sweet touch to our evening. I'd like to manage expectations for other customers by mentioning that the restaurant staff doesn't typically sing "Happy Birthday" to customers, so it felt particularly special to us when they did join in on the celebration. It's evident that this business evokes a culture that values their patrons, and we can't say enough good things about Richard's attentive service with a constant warm smile. We wish we had gotten the names of everyone else, but you can see them in our video. We've been raving to our friends and family about how amazing our night was, and we're already looking forward to coming back soon. Thank you for creating such a memorable experience!

In Summary: The service was very good. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. The food was so-so. Some quite good. Some quite not-good. We were four dining. Starters: Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sliders: they were ok. Thai Taco Trio (shrimp, beef, tuna (seared): these were great. Highly recommend. Blacken Tiger prawn Tostadas: they were good. Recommend. Truffle Fried: they were good. Recommend. Mexican Shaved Corn: very good. Definitely Recommend. Salads: Beet salad: it was good. EntrƩes: (3 of us are steak fans) Two 16oz Bone In Ribeye. We asked for medium rare, and got rare. But we dealt with it. But the quality of the meat was very disappointing: poor. One 7 oz Harris Ranch Prime Filet. Ordered medium rare, got it almost blue. Sent it back politely and to their credit grilled a new one (while we ate our meals - we extremely rarely send anything back) for us. Blue. When asked if it was ok, admittedly we weren't comfortable sending it back the first time and didn't want to send it back a second time. The quality of meat appeared good if it had been grilled to our request. All steaks came with cheddar scalloped potatoes which weren't very good. Dessert: Caramel Popcorn Sundae: very good. Recommend. Drinks : Taylor Made : Good, Hero Ranch Espresso Martini: Good Bloomade: Good A few people around is tried the Ranch Platter for four (38 oz Tomahawk , 4 australian lamb chops, 2 lobster tails, truffle fries, grilled asparagus, onion rings, it sounded quite good, but only 2 of us were willing but not brave enough to tackle the whole thing)
