Basecamp — Restaurant in Saugatuck

Came here for a quick bite to eat to hold myself and my fiancé over for a few hours. We ordered the waffle mixed with bacon pieces and was topped with guacamole, goat cheese, and tomatoes.

The waffle was pretty good. I have no complaints about the quality of the toppings. The reason this place didn't land as a 5-star is because after doing the business the courtesy of spending 12 dollars for a waffle, they decided that its acceptable to charge $1.00 for a cup of water.

I'm getting really tired and disgusted with this trend of businesses trying to charge for tap water, especially if you purchase food from them. I get that the plastic cup costs you $0.05, but I'm not asking for 10 packets of ketchup or maple syrup samplers. It's getting really annoying getting this kind of...

Stopped by based on high ratings to grab some breakfast during a late Oct visit. Clearly off season, but they’d be better off closing than delivering the kind of experience we had! Young girl running things was the only one there. Borderline rude and not communicative at all, and we were the only ones there so she couldn’t use being swamped as an excuse. Don’t do it! Just came for a quick coffee with my husband and we waited 37 minutes just to receive our coffee and one waffle. There were 4 parties seated at picnic tables ahead of us.
