This was without a doubt the best hotel experience I’ve ever had.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights for our honeymoon and the staff were incredible. Once we arrived the check in process from the valet to baggage help was flawless and the room was amazing with complimentary champagne waiting for us.
The balcony and view were breathtaking and definitely worth everything we paid and more. The bed was so comfortable. The location was great as the actual hotel is tucked away from the Main Street but still in the prime spot of downtown Sausalito in between all the shops and restaurants (definitely recommend Spinnaker and Scomas)
The wine and cheese delivered to our room was an incredible addition to the vibes and for the complimentary breakfast also delivered to our room, the quiche was so delicious (my wife who is a self anointed quiche connoisseur said they were the best she’s ever had)
The hotel staff were also able to book a couples massage with 2 hours notice. Whenever we needed the car we would call to the front desk as we were heading down and it would be waiting for us by the front door with no wait time every single time. Also to note, the cost of valet in their private lot was cheaper than most hotels in the Bay Area. Same as when we requested help with our bags during check out, the staff showed up almost instantly, with the car already pulled out waiting for us.
Overall this hotel stay made our honeymoon better than we can imagine and the only downside was that we wished we could stay longer…. We will...
Read moreIf you are going to stay in Sausalito this is the place to be. The prices are high because you are paying for the view. And a lovely view it is, Sitting on the balcony and looking over the bay was very peaceful. And even though it is right next to the Sausalito ferries-- that was of no disturbance. The location is truly in the heart of Sausalito.||The breakfast spread was very nice, even though the room where it was located was a bit small for the number of guests. In the afternoon, wine and cheese was served in the same room. We wish that the hotel had more of a common public space, but it was not to be found, so go for the rooms with the balcony. They will gladly serve breakfast or wine to your room.||We had a queen room with a balcony. It was smaller, which was not a problem but the way it was laid out there was no room to open two suitcases, a problem that too many hotels do not think about. The night tables were cluttered with magazines and the minibar items, making it even more difficult to place your items.||The bed was very comfortable and the linens were fine. ||Of note for older folk, it appears that none of the rooms have stall showers--and the tubs were very deep with a ledge next to it--so for those with any mobility issues climbing into and out of the tub to take a shower could be a real issue. It was a climb in for two older but mobile adults. ||The valet parking was very convenient and cars were brought to you immediately. The staff could not have been nicer and exceeded our...
Read moreWhat a wonderful place. This hotel, although pricey, is well worth it. The views from the room are spectacular. We didn’t really want to leave the room just so we could soak up the vista, human and wild life passing by. I’d fully recommend a room with an outside balcony.|Each evening there is a cheese and wine tasting. This can be taken in your room if requested. This is a highlight of the stay.|Breakfast is continental, but the quality of the offerings was at the very highest of standards. Fresh fruit and bakeries plus freshly brewed coffee and teas. This can also be requested for the room. Point to note: the volume of supplies is limited so your favourite cake or croissant may be taken if you have a lie-in.|The rooms and furnishings are top notch. The bed was comfy and there is seating and reading material provided in the room for consumption. The bathrooms are well equipped. There was no noise to affect our stay.|Parking is limited, but it’s all valet and the hotel are very accommodating for both leaving and arrivals throughout the stay. The staff couldn’t be more helpful.|If you are looking for a higher end stay location you can’t go wrong with The Inn Above Tide....
