I went in looking forward to getting a couple drinks, but left completely frustrated and uncomfortable.
The asian guy at the register walked up like he couldn’t care less about taking my order. I told him what I wanted, and he asked “Large or small?” As I opened my mouth to answer, he turned away mid-conversation to deal with another customer. I wasn’t sure if I should keep talking or wait. Then, out of nowhere, he turns back to me, yells “LARGE OR SMALL??” and waves his hand in my face. It was aggressive, unnecessary, and honestly just rude. I said small, he pressed a few buttons, and without asking if I was done ordering, he put his hand out for payment. I still had another drink to order for my partner, but apparently that didn’t matter. Then he called a lady over to take over. We actually know her from another boba shop in the mall that we visit all the time and have grown to really enjoy. So we hoped things would go smoother. Instead, as my partner starts to order, he tells her to deal with the other customer again first so she also turns away mid-order to help someone else. When she finally turns back to us, she puts her hand out for payment. Again, we had to say we weren’t done ordering. And again, she turned away to talk to the other customer without saying a word. At that point, we gave up and walked out.
I’ve never had to try so hard just to place a simple order. This place seriously needs to hire better workers, ones who actually know how to interact with customers. There are too many good boba shops out there to waste time being treated like an...
