A shopping must when I go to Savannah. Great produce, fresh made almond butter, and peanut butter plus an array of self-service nuts, dries fruits, grains, coffees and candies. An amazing seafood and meat counter, set up by type of meat and also cut. Then a bakery with breads, cakes and pastries I always have to get a cannolli and an almond croissant. Then have really good side dishes made up to go with the whole roasted chickens that come in several different flavors, or the chicken wings, bar-b-qued rack of ribs, or salmon. There is an antipasto bar, and a salad bar along with a great wine, beer, and cheese selection. Read moreI always feel like I'm at a state fair when I get the opportunity to visit a The Fresh Market store. I tried the sea salt caramel coffee today, and it was wonderful! Such a delightful surprise. The figs were huge, as I am accustomed to The Fresh Market produce being. I always marvel at the desserts. I settled on an adorable pink cupcake-designed cookie for my sister and a towering lemon blueberry cake slice for mom and me to share. I found lobster ravioli, butternut squash apple soup, broccoli and pear salad, fresh vegetable medley, and a beautiful floral bouquet. I also was able to buy staple bread and eggs, not just gourmet items. Of course, I won't cite my entire grocery list, but it was such an exciting deviation from the normal humdrum...
