I absolutely loved my dining experience yesterday evening. Everything was on point! We already had reservations, so we were seated quickly. Our server, Akilah, was AH-MAZING!!! Sis ran a tight ship from beginning to end so that our entire visit was quite enjoyable. I can't leave out the rest of the wait staff. They work together like a fine-tuned machine - exemplary teamwork! Now, on to the food!!! Our group ordered a variety of appetizers that we shared - the mussels Josephine were so succulent! The bread was just right to soak up the broth. The imperial dip was so rich, buttery, and delicious. It could be a meal by itself. The bang bang shrimp was tasty, as were the lightly crispy and tender calamari. Now, the entrees! I ordered the imperial cod. At first, I was worried because cod tends to be very bland, and the texture can get a little chewy if cooked too long. Well, I didn't need to worry because the dish was perfect! The meaty, lighty flavored cod was complimented by a rich, lemon- infused butter and Caper cream sauce. Deliciousness in every bite! The garlic-mashed potatoes were standard, while the broccoli was good but slightly overcooked. I would recommend a larger portion of vegetables. My glass of Riesling was served slightly tepid, so I hope this is something the bar staff will consider improving on. Daddy had the ginormous grilled pork chop, which he said was very good. Manfred the Nephew had the shrimp tacos. They were so big and overflowing with shrimp that he could only eat one. Las Sobrinas Hermosas both had the grilled salmon, which, judging from the scanty leftovers on their plates, was good as well. All-in-all, my visit to Bonefish was wonderful. Good food, the company of the people that you love, and the expert attention of a most professional wait-staff - what more do you need? In the words of a famous Austrian actor, "I'll...
Read moreMy fiance and I came here for dinner and was very disappointed. We started off with a mojito, the smoke old fashion, & calamari. Our server actually made our drinks which was fine except the part where she shook my old fashion instead of stirring it, which was mind blowing. Anyone that works in the bar industry should know the concepts and right techniques to make every drink that is made! We then ordered our entrées and my fiance ordered the sea bass and I ordered the cod. Calamari came out and was hard than when our entrées came out, our server decided to bring bread? Which was also hard. Then came our entrées and my cod fish entree came out cold! The whole dish, not just my fish but my potatoes as well and my pre frozen cod fish was overcooked because it came out rubbery. The pre frozen seabass came out fine. The server took back the cod fish and never came back out. No one came to our table, no one apologized, or anything. All of a sudden, maybe 20min later after my fiance was done eating, my plate came out with a whole new server? Not once did my server come back to check on us or even explain to me what she was going to do or even ask me about any options. I asked what happened to our server and she said she had worked a double that day and it was time for her to go? She never even let us know that we were going to be handed off to another server, which I felt was rude. She could have at least came by to explain to me what was going on and how long my other food was going to take so that I had a choice to either still want it or cancel it. In all the years that I've worked in hospitality, I would have never done this and I, as the manager would have at least been table touching to see how my guests were doing or enjoying everything. I would not recommend...
Read moreManagement here needs to step it up. We arrived and were seated for lunch yesterday with printed out drink menus that were dirty and been used repeatedly and had a oily stain in the corner (so pretty disgusting to pick up and look at). Then it took about 15 minutes to be greeted and put in a drink order, which is not indicative of good service when a place is practically empty. The food was good...or at least we finally started to enjoy our meal. Then one of the employees with red braids came over and asked if we had our dog in the car and said that "someone had called". How would she have guessed it was us if it wasn't her that was concerned? Mind you it is 74 degrees outside in April and our dog was parked under a tree with all the windows cracked. Seriously, anyone can sit under a tree in 74 degree weather and be fine in a car with the windows cracked....that's just common sense people. This employee even called the police who were obliged to show up and then were directed to our table. Our lunch was interrupted so they could check on our dog who they were told "might be passed out in there". She was taking a nap and woke up and jumped out of the car happy and licking them. The cops pretty much apologized that they were just doing their job. We were traveling and like to bring Belle with us and she loves it. I understand if someone was concerned if it was 100 degrees out or if the windows weren't cracked, but it is just ignorant to think that a dog is in danger when it is 74 DEGREES and the windows are cracked and she's in the shade! Good grief. No common sense and completely rude to us as customers that dropped over $100 for lunch. The manager needs more training as well as the employees. Bonefish corporate should take notice. Perhaps I'll submit this...
