This was the worst experience!! We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday evening for dinner and all seemed well at first; we were brought our water and our order was taken quickly. We both ordered build your own burgers with fries and we had onion rings for an appetizer. I asked for my burger to be medium well with mayo, lettuce and tomato; my boyfriend ordered his with onion, lettuce, tomato and jalapeño. When they arrived, his burger had the correct items he asked for, mine had pickles and the pickle juice had soaked into my bun (I really do not like pickles, which is why I didn’t ask for them). I was told by the person who delivered our food that I should have asked for no pickles because they’re automatically given… but my boyfriend ordered the same build your own burger and he only had the items he asked for… I asked for a replacement of tomato and new piece of lettuce and waited several minutes for those to arrive (my burger was cold by the time she returned) while waiting I opened my silverware to find old cheese on the knife and this was wrapped with a fork in a napkin for us to use… when the girl returned with the new veggies, the tomato was the size of a half dollar and had the stem on the side which I had to cut off. Now I needed a napkin… I waited so long for our server and finally I went inside to find her… when she came out I showed her the silverware with old cheese stuck and rolled into the napkin, I explained about the pickles and showed her what I was given for tomatoes. She apologized, scooped up our trash (and my boyfriends water for some reason) and said she would get me another tomato… she came back many minutes later with a small plate with yet another half dollar size tomato slice and now it had onion on top… I never asked for onion… I ignore it and I ask her to please bring his water back. She disappeared and never returned!!! He had to eat his burger with jalapeños with no water!!! I flag someone down and ask him to please ask her to come back, she finally comes back with his water (his burger is gone now…) and our bill and said I heard you wanted your bill… NOPE… we wanted his WATER!!! This was out first dining out experience in a while!! We had to pay money for this terrible experience! And instead of taking any ownership, she just said “Oh sorry, we’re really hectic inside”… SORRY!!! You have guests outside too who also deserve to be taken care of!! She certainly made sure we got our bill!!!! Thank you for an unforgettable...
Read moreI really want to love this place because I very much enjoy coming for their Wednesday night trivia. Unfortunately, it is pretty much the only thing I enjoy about this place. I've tried so many items on the menu and they almost always disappoint. The mac n cheese, fries and soups are inconsistent, the burger sliders (happy hour item) are dry, the fried pickles are butter chips...I'm sorry, what? Never have I had sweet fried pickles anywhere, and there is a reason every other restaurant does dill. The spinach artichoke dip might be alright, even though the cheese is more like a velveeta, but the chips served with said dip are often totally stale. There are more disappointing items, but I will stop there. I trust the buffalo chicken salad to be pretty good, and that is truly it. The service is hit or miss. All the waiters are friendly, but they frequently do not clear the table of empty plates of food and beverages. The kitchen is a whole different issue. The wait times can be horrible. One night here for trivia, after waiting about an hour for salad, we were finally told the whole kitchen staff walked. The restaurant is often very cold, but now we've learned to wear long sleeves, even though at the moment of writing this, it's in the 80s most days. Not sure what's going on here, but they have some work to do, especially on their ingredients. As a final note, the regional manager, or someone higher up (I didn't quite catch his title) was in last night. He did not come to our table, but we saw him ask others how things were going and then disappear. I would have brought my concerns to his attention instead of writing here, but as I did not see him again, I am leaving this in hopes Cowbell can make some changes as I truly would like to see...
Read moreI would give this place a zero if I could. I went to Cowbell for the first and last time last night. You better bring some $$$. Super pricy. Super dirty. Spelling errors all over the menu. They sat us at a table that had food and trash all over the floor. The floor clearly had not been washed in a few days. It was super sticky and had black stains from debris and sticky stuff all over it. It takes days to acquire that kind of dirt. The table was just as sticky and still had a straw wrapper on it. So it hadn’t been cleaned or washed either. The food was average at best. We ordered fried pickles and they use sweet pickles. Was so gross. Like eating fried relish. Who use’s sweet pickles for fried pickles? Revolting. My burger was so burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. So it was cooked at a high heat way too fast. My wife’s fries were undercooked pretty much raw. The bacon was so crispy it turned into dust. The waitress never offered us a drink. She never came back to ask how the food was or if we needed anything. Probably because the food would have gone back. She gave us one tiny napkin to eat our burgers with and no drink. For a table of The table itself was so sticky too and there was food all over the unused chair next to me. If this is how the front of the house looks, I can only imagine how dirty the kitchen or rear of the house is. We won’t be back. Way too dirty and grimey. Way, way, too expensive for sub par food at best. We and all our friends will not be back. Not one person at the table...
