My name is Maria and I wanted to tell you what a bad experience I had at your restaurant and how unprofessional your manager Angie was. I have been going to your Schaumburg location for awhile and was very disappointed. I went Sunday 3/10/24 and ordered 2 chicken gyro, 2 fries, fettuccine Alfredo and a spaghetti with meat sauce and sausage. The spaghetti had an unusual taste and had maybe 5 small pieces of sausage. The fettuccine had more oil than sauce and was not creamy at all. It was beyond disappointing. I added a jar of my own Alfredo sauce just to eat it. The spaghetti we couldn’t even eat but the 5 pieces of sausage. We live 20 min away so we did not go back. Instead I called and told them about the food and all they said was ok will have the owner Angie call you tomorrow. 3/9/24 (7:30 I had to call them because no one bothered to call me. When I called, I asked for Angie. When she answered I told her I was expecting a call from her and all she said was “ok what happened with the food “. She Didn’t even ask me my name or apologize for not calling me. All she said was what’s wrong with the food. I explained to her what was wrong. I told her I always eat there and never had an issue with any of there food. Her next words were” did anyone tell you about our policy, that you have to bring the food back”. She didn’t even at least apologize. She said I need to see the food because there was nothing wrong with the sauces. She said” They tasted fine and were made fresh”. Again disregarding my experience. Then she said “all I can do is give you 10% off your next order. I told her I have the spaghetti we couldn’t even eat it. She then says that’s all I can do. Again disregarding me and and not even apologizing for the experience. She was not very nice and made me feel like I was lying and that my complaint was not valid. I go to your restaurant at least 4-5x a month with my family of four and alway spend $75-$100 every time I go. I didn’t bother answering her and just hung up. It was clear to me thats he didn’t care about my complaint and seemed...
Read moreI've been here numerous times both as an inside dining customer and as a take out only customer. This review is solely based on the quality of food I've received over a span of several months. In the very beginning I would always purchase the complete gyros platter which includes a very generous portion of gyros meat, large fries and a soft drink of my choice. The sauce was absolutely delicious but scarce so I'd ask for extra sauce and the owner would pleasantly smile and never charge me extra. Over time I noticed that my gyros was shrinking in portion and if I felt I needed extra sauce I was now told it would be an extra charge. Since our new quarantine rules I needed to economize so my order was more simple and I chose a gyros sandwich with small fries for 9.99 instead of the 11.99 for the full dinner which included a beverage. Today I had a bit of sticker shock when I was told a small gyros sandwich and fries without beverage is now $11.99 not including any drink. I asked the owner and she said her suppliers have increased the prices so now they must also increase their prices. I completely understand but not once was I ever offered anything extra ever as a thank you for being a loyal client. Their gyro I ordered today was much saltier than normal and drenched in sauce. It seems the portions are now much smaller and the prices a bit higher much higher in fact than gyros shops in downtown Chicago. I'm just leaving this fair review based on a total of 9 or more experiences I've had here. There was no need for them to decrease the portions and increase the prices so drastically especially if the quality is also going down. I'm on a budget now I can't afford a small gyro and small fries for 11.99 when the meat portions...
Read moreCommon situation, the wife gives me dinner instructions using the specific verbiage of "I want a sandwich." Given that was the challenge in the "Next Level Chef" episode we just watched highlighting lobster, crab, beef, pork, chicken, etc, I should have seen that coming. With the specificity of the request I had to determine the best solution within the given parameters. Luckily, I remembered a place that could very possibly keep me out of the lava pit I foresaw if I returned unsuccessful. That place was Brandy's. Upon arrival I scoured their menu and was able to select a variety of "sandwich" choices that could please every version of my wife I have grown to know over the years, settling on 4 options: a gyros, a philly cheesesteak, a ribeye steak sandwich, and a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese. I left with all 4, plus a bonus hot dog the manager/owner gifted me for coming in and arming me with a "just-in-case" smart bomb! Upon arrival I was greeted with dismay as I laid out the spread of options as I obviously had delivered exactly the response that would keep me safe this evening. She happily selected the philly cheesesteak as if it were what I should have translated from her precise instructions and mystical powers of perception. But in all seriousness, EVERYTHING was delicious! Even this morning as I threw the "smart bomb" in the nuke for a quick warm up for my breakfast, I am very satisfied with this experience. I am highly recommending Brandy's as a great option to fulfill your "sandwich" requirements based not only on the selection (5 stars there) but the quality and taste of the food I brought home (5 stars here as well). We enjoyed dinner very much, and I am loving my leftovers...
