Crumbl — Restaurant in Schaumburg Township

Crumbl Cookies is the most happening place in Schaumburg. We have been meaning to go hear for a while and finally got the chance to do so. We went hear late evening and that was a mistake. The wait to get in was about an hour. Evening is also the time when all school kids decide to get their night sugar craving filled.

Once you get in then they are very efficient and you hardly have to wait between ordering and getting your cookies. The staff is also very friendly and well organized.

If you do not like waiting in line then they also deliver. Currently they have a promotion to get free delivery till June 12th. While waiting in line I saw several DoorDash delivery person picking up orders.

While Crumbl Cookies are known for their cookies, they also sell ice cream and milk to go with the cookies. Each week their cookie flavors changes, so you have to keep going back to try new flavors.

Each week they only have 6 flavors to choose from. This week they have Red Velvet White Chip, Banana Cream Pie, Ultimate Peanut Butter, Dirt Cake, Milk Chocolate Chip, and Chilled Sugar.  If you have allergy to tree nuts then I was told not to have Banana Cream Pie or Chilled Sugar as they have traces of almonds. I did not see that listed on their website.

I tried the following 4 cookies.

Ultimate Peanut Butter is a very soft cookies with heavy dose of peanut butter. If you love peanut butter then you need to get this. For casual peanut butter eaters this might not appeal your tastebuds.

Milk Chocolate Chip is a standard cookie which tastes amazing. For someone looking to have just regular cookie, this is for you.  This is also the ideal cookies to get with their different flavored ice creams.

Dirt Cake comes with a earm worm gummy which itself is very delicious. The cookie is a chocolate base with chocolate creme and crushed oreos on top. It is a chocolate heaven. Even if you are not a big chocolate eater, you will still enjoy this.

Red valve cookie is stuffed with huge white chocolate chip. This has a hard texture on the outside but very soft from inside. This cookie just melts in your mouth. If you go to Crumbl Cookie and can only get one cookie then this is it. Red Valvet is finger licking, mouth watering good. You have to get this to eat.

Overall, this place is amazing. You just have to come ready to wait but it will be totally worth it when you eat those mouth...

This location is completely unprofessional, I understand that there is always a line at this location, but they need to work on proper time management. Many customers have gotten into the line well before the store was about to close. once it neared closing, an associate came out to see the length of the line. He tried to cut the line off randomly, but once he realized just how long the line was, he gasped and went back inside. Another associate came out after that, she was tall and thin. She had colored hair and had a skeleton hand tattoo on her hand. She then went up to a Jersey mikes worker from the restaurant next door, she apologized to him, asked him what cookies he wanted, went inside and proceeded to give him free merchandise. All the associates were coming up to the window to see how long the line was. Once it was about closing time, the girl with the tattoo cut off the line, splitting the group in front of us up. When we tried to explain to her that we have been waiting in the line for a long time, she proceeded to act very unprofessionally and say “I don’t know what to tell you”. We then asked to speak to a manager and she said there was no manager on duty, even though she just told us the first associate that came out and gasped and went back inside WAS the manager. So then we told her that she just said he was the manager why can’t we talk to him, she said he wasn’t and the manager left. So then while we were still talking she just locked the door. This experience left a really bad taste in our mouths. We had a terrible experience and the customer service was horrible. I feel as if they should’ve cut the line off at a more reasonable time so their customers wouldn’t have had to wait so long for nothing. This shows that they do not value their customers time. And I feel like this won’t change and they will continue to treat their customers this way and devalue their time. Many customers left upset after waiting in line for so long...

I'm used to ordering Crumbl cookies from the Happy Valley Phoenix, AZ location and have never had a negative experience. Yesterday was my first time ordering from the Schaumburg, IL location and I will be sure not to order from there again. I placed my curbside order at 12:01am to ensure I got my order in for the day since they only have a limited amount of time slots for orders that are placed in advance. I ordered a box of 12 cookies. When my boyfriend and I arrived to pick up the order at the designated time we had to go inside, which is not a big deal although the app says curbside, but when we went inside the order was not even ready. When we received our order they were out of one of the flavors and failed to notify us. Not only that, but they automatically substituted those two cookies, WITHOUT asking what flavors we would like, with chocolate chip cookies (which we already had two of them in our original order). When we got home imagine our extra disappointment when we realized the chocolate chip cookies were absolutely flavorless. The other four flavors were delicious, but of course the flavor we now had FOUR of were essentially inedible. I've had the Crumbl chocolate chip cookies from other locations and they have always been heavenly. Not sure if this was just a bad batch, but I definitely do not recommend getting that flavor at this location if you choose to order from this location. Lastly, I purchased a pink cookie cutter and received a black cookie cutter, which was not even an option when I placed my order on the app. Overall, I understand if they run out of a specific flavor of cookie (although I don't think holding only two cookies of a specific flavor for an advanced order should be difficult), but I think it is very unprofessional that they did not notify me or give me the option to choose the replacement cookie flavors.
