No consistency, which is a big issue (sad but still true during the grand opening and now) because sometimes the chicken is fried right, sometimes over-cooked & fried too hard for way too long. Some items are just too salty....especially the lemon pepper wings (please use the lemon pepper seasoning with no MSG), the fried fish & the gizzards.
Salty product and overly fried chicken, chicken & chicken gizzards (hard as rocks) are a waste of a customers good, hard earned money. Not cool at all. Customers should be valued, not taken for granted or taken advantage of (charging $1.00 for a little cup of extra sauce is overkill, it's a shame).
All of these concerns need attention and correction immediately. Turnaround time on orders is extremely slow but does not have to be the case.... shouldn't be.....they need to hire enough people to get the orders out in a more reasonable time frame, without errors in the orders.
Service is not the friendliest, nor the most courteous as the person taking the orders by day or evening always sounds like they are half asleep, uninterested and could care less about what you want to order.....like you are bothering them but you (the customer) are the reason why they remain open.
They used to include a little cup of cole slaw in the order along with a piece of white bread. No more cole slaw....they just stopped putting it in the order I suppose as they would run out of it often.
Also, at times your order would not include the little soggy or sometimes stale & hard, lonely piece of white bread. Additionally, they don't give a receipt to the customer for the order upon picking up the order...the customer is asked to give back the one receipt given to them once the order has been taken by the cashier.
That's incredibly unprofessional but it helps them in case your order was wrong, therefore you have no way of getting them to make the situation right because you have no order number to repeat back to them. And, at times they are hesitant to make the situation right, which in my opinion is just simply bad for business......if you plan to stay in business for any extended length of time. So very disappointed. Wanted to love it but...
Read moreI called ahead and placed an order for pickup. I was told that it would be ready for pickup in 20 minutes. I placed the order at 5:10 pm and arrived to pick it up at 5:37pm. When I arrived there was no one at the counter to greet me nor was there anyone in the store at all. After standing at the counter for a few minutes and shouting hello in an attempt to get the attention of anyone in the store that I could not see, but to no avail as no one answered my continuous call for assistance. At 5:43 pm I then decided to call the store to see if anyone would answer the phone. A lady answered the phone and it seemed to be the same person that took my order from the initial phone call. I informed her that i had been standing at the counter for several minutes waiting to pick up my order, she replied “okay I will be right there”. As you could see from the front counter to the back of the store, i noticed the girl from the phone and a gentleman who turned out to be the cook coming in from outside together. She asked what my order was then went back into the kitchen area of the restaurant. At that point it took an additional 15 minutes to get my order as they had never filled the order. Two additional customers came in after me and were also asked what their orders were as they hadn’t be prepared either. This is problematic as there were no other customers in the store so there should have been no delay in the orders, nor was there anyone in the store ensuring that customers were being greeted. This is unprofessional at best and I would not recommend this store to anyone. Furthermore, I will no longer be a customer at this store as when she finally gave me my order she didn’t even extend an apology for the lack of professionalism which completely disregards how valuable my time is to me. She never even told me my total and only asked if I were paying with cash or card. This was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had in a while and if you are reading this I would for sure think about looking elsewhere if you are interested in having a...
Read moreI placed an online order at 3:58pm...and it stated order would be ready in 20 minutes...I arrived at 4:30; I'm familiar with their wait times so I allotted some additional time. I arrived and was greeted by the young lady working; she ask for my info, found my order and stated it'll be another 11 minutes, replied ok and asked for my total which was $2.25 higher than my online total...she stated the catfish filet price had increased a $1 and they had not updated the site, so I glanced at their menu which also had not been updated, not in the mood to have a lengthy exchange as how they should/could have called to inform me of the increase and st the least updated their in store price board...but I didn't I paid. Retreated to my car to wait the 11 minutes returned at 4:47... and told it would just be another 3 minutes...it was another 20 minutes. My issue is that the words of your employees should match their actions... It is clear my order had not even been started when I arrived and had she given me the truth and shared the information she held...I could have made a informed consumer choice and decided to wait the additional 40 minutes or leave, but she lied, taking my payment and essentially holding me hostage until the release of my food as a "No Refund" handwritten sign was to the left of me for walk-in customers..My annoyance is the fact I was lied too, and not informed. Given all the information, today I probably would have waited, and carried the weight of that choice, since my schedule was open(any other day I may be unable to give up the time, and this could have been disastrous simply over words not matching actions)...but she took my choice away by being dishonest. Transparency, in business, politics and every aspect of living and exchanging with others is paramount. This is an unacceptable business practice; the customer is why you eat...prioritize...
