My one star is for the horrible customer service that I experience. My first time at this Jersey Mike's location. My customer experience was a -1!!!! I usually go to the one in Elgin where i always experience A+ customer service. my concern is I walk in and their are two employees.... no one, including the manager Mike greeted me!!!!! I was present for 1 minute before I myself stated "hello" and in MY hello I did NOT RECEIVE a response back.... at this point I am irritated. Shortly behind me comes in another customer and that customer gets a hello... I believe the other employee name was victoria she was making sandwiches howsoever, you still saw me enter in... I Stated out loud "oh so you do speak" maybe it depends on your customer!!! the manager Mike comes to the counter asked my i help you. I asked are you the mike that I spoke with on the phone? he said yes. I said you CANNOT be the manager Mike that I spoke with on the phone? he insisted that he was! you make your company look bad....was my thought. I place my order I leave very unsatisfied only because of the customer service not because of the food. there should be some training done especially as a manager. I can see why the other employee who was working with Mike acted the way she acted bad example. When your employee sees a customer they should speak. there needs to be some training done for the customer experience to be a great one. this is one unsatisfied customer howsoever, I guess I'll have to drive to Elgin to get customer service that I'm use to and deserving of from...
Read moreI'm very frustrated with this place. Every time I use their app I end up waiting an additional 20-30 minutes. Yesterday was the worse by far. I stood by the register waiting for employees to look at me. While more people piled in line. I finally asked for my order rudely. Loudly asked where's my order should be On pick up rack. Everyone seemed to look surprised the manager I guess that's who that was walked over to the register and ask me if I had the order number I gave him the order number and the name oh I'm sorry ma'am I made that order well if you made the order where did you put it well I put it right up there on that rack and I said to him as I was walking in I saw the bag on the rack didn't know it was mine though And a guy rushed in right before me picked up the bag and ran out so that guy according to the manager walked away with my sandwich now. Here's my dilemma after waiting 15 minutes 20 minutes to get my order picked up now I have to wait because there's a bunch of people in line that they have to take care of before they can make my sandwiches again oh he apologized and said thank you but never offered me a cookie discount something so the entire visit took me 40 minutes and I use the app . I love Jersey Mike subs but I don't love the laziness of the people that work there pick your head up folks and take care of the customer why use the app if I'm gonna be ignored....
Read moreI normally eat at Jersey Mikes monthly and I always loved their subs. However, my last recent trip here left me completely disgusted by this location and I don't think I'll be going back there anymore. There was a line of customers so the store was a bit crowded, but that was no excuse for the unsanitary practices that I witnessed.
I am so glad I had ordered a tub instead of a sub, otherwise I would've definitely returned it and walked out. The person constructing the subs was extremely dirty. First he was placing the bread on a tabletop surface next to the sandwich board and it didn't look like that counter-top was clean. The worst part was when I saw him wiping the surface of the sandwich board with an extremely dirty, sticky looking rag and putting it back under, then taking it out again to re-wipe the surface. The wipe for the cutting knife was also dirty.
This was completely unhygienic and unsafe, especially for people who don't eat specific meats or are ordering veggies dishes. He could easily cross-contaminate sandwiches and surfaces with the dirty items he was using. I will definitely not be going back to this location and will be very cautious and skeptical about other Jersey Mike locations. If these are the standards your company uphold, then I wouldn't be surprised if you start losing...
