Food is Incredible!!! Love this place!!! ❤ I only wish that they would consider expanding their hours of operation. Closing @ 7pm is a little early, especially on a Friday! I know they make more than enough money to close/lock up @ 7pm but before the pandemic they use to close @ 9pm. People are just sitting down for dinner @ 7pm, could you guys please consider staying open until at least 8pm once a week? Maybe that day can be Fridays that you stay open until 8pm? However, many would love it if you stayed open until 8pm all week & on Saturdays since you're closed on Sundays! Your food is amazing & many of us can't get enough of it! Keep the fire 🔥going!!! Thank you for making such delicious food!!! So glad you guys are still going stong in business during the pandemic!! I hope to always see Joy Teriyaki in my life! I pray many generations get to experience your incredible, delicious, authentic food!🥢

UPDATE April 01, 2022* I just learned from another google review that was posted 2 days ago that Joy Teriyaki is closing their location in Glendale Heights and moving to a new location in Hoffman Estates! This is so heartbreaking for those in the community of Glendale Heights, Carol Stream, Bloomingdale and many surrounding other areas around Glendale Heights. We love having Joy Teriyaki so conveniently close to us & now we have to venture out to Hoffman Estates to get our Joy Teriyaki fix! They will be very missed here in our community! I wish them nothing but much success & pray that they will extend their hours to 8pm or 9pm for those who need to come from further away to enjoy their food or maybe consider allowing door dash...

Joy Teriyaki is my go-to spot, especially when I'm in the mood for a quick and delicious teriyaki fix. I'm not kidding when I say it's the best place for teriyaki in town.

Being just a short ten-minute drive from my workplace, I often opt for delivery, and Joy Teriyaki consistently hits the mark. The spicy pork is a standout with its amazing flavors, and the teriyaki chicken is equally delicious. I'd love to show you photos of these delectable dishes, but truth be told, I'm usually so eager to dig in that I forget to snap pictures.

Recently, I had the pleasure of ordering catering from Joy Teriyaki for my birthday celebration this past Saturday. It was my first time visiting the restaurant in person, despite having enjoyed their delivery so much. To my surprise, I arrived a bit early for the catering order, and they went above and beyond to expedite it, showcasing their commitment to excellent service.

When the catering order arrived at my party, it was nothing short of fantastic. The food was a hit among my guests, and I received numerous compliments. Joy Teriyaki truly made my birthday celebration a memorable one.

Words cannot describe the experience I had at this place...

I ordered the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki for my first time here and my, was I blown away. Perfectly cooked inside with a nice crispy crunchy outside that satisfied you with every bite. The sweet, tangy, and spicy sauce the chicken was marinated with assisted the chicken with an explosion of flavor each time.

The dish came with a side of rice and complimentary salad. Both helped refresh your taste buds and make sure the overbearing flavor of the sauce wasn't too overpowering. I recommend mixing a portion of the rice with a portion of chicken and sauce as it gives the dish a different & more neutral taste.

If I didn't allude to it enough, personally, I feel like I had to take a break from the amount of sauce that was on the chicken. Sure it tasted amazing, but after a while I needed to relax and eat some rice or salad to reset myself. Plus a couple points for adding the side dishes (maybe they had this specific issue in mind?).

Regardless, fast service, HIGH quality food, polite and welcoming staff, only gripe I had with the place was that some of the tables weren't cleaned. Maybe it was just an off day for the staff but if they keep on top of it all the time then this place is definitely a perfect 5 stars. Right now, I'll give it a 4.7 or 4.8.
