This place used to be decent before pandemic. I gave this place a try when it first opened back up after Covid. The prices went up a lot so for me isn't worth it anymore since I don't eat a lot and I have younger kids who don't eat a lot either. Plenty of times I've stopped myself going here because of the price but recently not sure what made me change my mind. I came here with my husband and three kids. We were here about an hour after opening on a Saturday. They wanted to seat us in the back area but the cleaning chemicals were so strong it was hard to eat and smell cleaning chemicals the same time so we asked to move us to the front area. The food was dried which looked to me like heated up food from the night before. I really had a sickening face but husband and I tried to enjoy it because it was family time. I tried to eat whatever I can to at least balance the amount I'll be spending. Of course, a light plate in, my stomach was cramping a little. I told myself.. hopefully nothing. Second light plate in, stomach was hurting and I had to use the washroom.. the washroom was disgusting (mind you almost 2hrs after opening now) all the stalls were dirty and nasty. I literally had to clean one of the toilets for them to use it. After coming back to the table, I'm just sitting there talking to my husband.. we were people watching and just can't believe how these people can put this type of food in their mouth and consider it edible. We talked about how paying the tab and it'll feel like we pay to just sit at their place. Oh, the water.. tasted so disgusting but good thing they had bottled water for sale. Our tab came out to be $160-170. I couldn't quite remember. Worst part is when you're signing the reminder of the receipt, you get a waitress standing next to you hovering how much tip should be added to the bill. I live about 15-20mins from there. I told my husband we need to leave now or I may end up throwing up at the table. My kids ate mainly fruits, some green beans, Steamed shrimp and had ice cream. I had two more washroom runs withing the 1½hrs after leaving. My husband had the runs later the afternoon lasting evening. I sure wished I at least took pics of the washroom for proof but I really didn't think I needed to review. I decided after thinking for awhile that it's wrong for others to go and spend so much money to experience the same. Never again. Oh to add an extra, I am Chinese so I'm not here to bash any...

Read moreMy recent visit to Royal buffet was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The waitresses were not only rude but also incredibly pushy, showing a lack of respect for diners trying to enjoy their meal in peace. Their rush to present the bill before it was requested felt like an attempt to push us out rather than provide attentive service.
The woman at the ice cream section was particularly unpleasant, displaying a horrible attitude that tainted the dining experience. Her condescending looks and smug demeanor made it uncomfortable to even ask for simple items, leaving a sour taste in our mouths.
Hygiene at the restaurant was shockingly poor, with an employee caught shaving in the men's bathroom and failing to wash their hands afterward. This lack of basic sanitation practices is unacceptable in any dining establishment and raises serious concerns about the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
The state of the cutlery and plates only added to our dismay, as we discovered food remnants still clinging to supposedly "clean" dishes. This oversight in basic dishwashing procedures reflects a careless attitude towards food safety and customer satisfaction.
Lastly, the staff's blatant focus on soliciting tips rather than providing quality service was a major turn-off. Instead of treating patrons as valued customers, they seemed to view us as mere cash machines, pressuring us for gratuities without earning them through genuine hospitality and attentiveness.
Overall, my experience at Royal buffet was marred by rude and pushy staff, poor hygiene standards, subpar cleanliness, and a culture of prioritizing tips over customer satisfaction. I would not recommend dining at this establishment until significant improvements are made across all facets of...
