This is fairly new place. We saw it on TikTok and decided to try it because we haven’t found a really good Indian restaurant in a while now. It’s far for us but we drove. And it was worth it! The chef is South Indian so the recipes all have a South Indian twist than what you may know or expect of certain dishes. That is they are heavier on the black pepper heat and less on the chili powder, which makes it spicy but also heats up all the way your throat. But that gives it a perfect spice level and makes the dishes very delicious. The food is super fresh you can tell by the quality and it takes a bit to bring it out because they make it fresh on the spot so we don’t mind waiting knowing that we will get quality food! The mint chutney was extremely fresh and well spiced. The chicken lollipop was amazing!! Haven’t had a better one in Chicago! Tender juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Well marinated and flavored. The chicken 65 with gravy was also so well prepared and spiced just the perfect amount of heat and spices and very tender but with a more prominent black pepper flavor. The naatu chicken was amazing! So well spiced, lots of black pepper but really well made fresh and tender and very delicious. The goat rogan josh was also super flavorful, little sweeter than the naatu chicken, super tender and fresh and well made. Their garlic naan is freshly made with lots of butter and fresh garlic and freshly baked in the tandoor and you can take the tandoor on its blisters. Very chewy and soft as it should be. The basmati rice that comes with the curries is fluffy and neutral taking away the heat from the curries and blending in so well. The goat dum biryani was excellent as well! Again the prominent spice is black pepper but in perfect amounts making it aromatic and flavorful along with anise seed. The goat was fresh tender and well marinated. They didn’t have Indian sodas. And I recommend they sever salty/masala lassi as well :) the server was amazing! Super sweet girl and helped us with all the requests. Service was amazing. And the atmosphere was very pleasant with Bollywood songs in the background and seating was very comfortable. It was very busy as well. We will be coming back...
Read moreVisited Naatu recently, and while a couple of dishes impressed us, the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing.
The nalli biryani and chilli shrimp were the stars—flavorful and well-cooked. The paneer butter masala was also decent. However, the paneer tikka tasted exactly like amla pickle—not pleasant. The pampert fish was fresh but completely bland.
The laccha paratha was a big letdown—hard, dry, and not layered at all, and at $5.99 each, it felt like a rip-off. To make things worse, we were charged for an item we didn’t even order.
The service was the worst part. We were a group of just 4, ordered everything at once, and still waited nearly 2 hours to get our food. Plates weren’t cleared, and staff kept repeating “5–10 minutes” with no follow-through. Partho was especially rude and unprofessional, adding to the bad experience.
The food has potential, but poor service, billing issues, and overpriced sides make it hard to recommend. Definitely not worth the wait...
Read moreStay Away - Worst customer service I went for dine-in with family and my dad has medical condition and I wanted to make sure table is assigned when we arrive (which I called and asked for reservation but they said they don’t take reservations). When we reach (9/19, Thursday around 7:15 PM), restaurant was dead empty and the we asked for 6 seating for 5 people, they decline to give and said you are only 5 so we can not give you 6 people table. There was table at the center which we grabbed and they asked us to move to another table next it saying this table is reserved (pathetic), I mean don’t you see a person with medical condition and have him move around in empty Resturant for no reason. We ended up leaving without food and they don’t have courtesy to asked their customer that why they are leaving without ordering a food. I don’t care what quality of food they serve but if they can’t provide basic customer service, they don’t deserve to be in...
