Panera Bread — Restaurant in Schaumburg Township

I placed an order via the mobile app for a rapid pick up but specified a time. In my order, I wanted the country rustic sourdough, unsliced & untoasted cinnamon crunch bagel, & honey walnut spread. You would think because I paid for the items IN FULL via the app that even though I asked for a later pick up that my items, especially the bread, would be set aside for me. Well, I guess not because they ran out of the sourdough BUT instead of calling me to ask if I'd be okay with the classic sourdough load instead, they went ahead and gave that to me as a sub even though I didn't ask for it. So, when I got to the store, they told me about it and when I said I didn't want it, the refund was given. Okay, I was a little annoyed but I had my other items. So, my husband & I got home and when I went to slice my bagel; I was surprised that it was sliced already but that's not even the kicker. I went and took out the spread and they gave me ONION & CHIVES. Who thinks onion & chives go well with cinnamon crunch??? NOBODY! So, I called the store and was told I had to come back to the store to get a refund or a new spread. I tell the guy that it's not exactly a 5 minute drive from where I live and I don't know when I'll be in the area again. To be told that I can hold on to the products (for an indefinite amount of time) until I can get back to their store for a refund is ridiculous. It's $3.67 and you can't give this refund back to me over the phone?!?! Panera really needs to rethink their customer service because this is...

This is by far the best Panera I've been to in years! Giving it a fair trial, I've come here weekly with a group of my business partners for about the last year or so. We were originally welcomed during the weeknights by the manager Lesly and her crew with a special shout out to that staff, including Jason and Gabby! They rotated out and switched shift management, and I was hesitant at first, but we met the current team Lauren, Dan, and their squad, and they've been nothing but wonderful and respectful as well! I dont want to leave anyone out, but big shout out to Enrique and Raul holding down the fort in the back! I will definitely point out this Panera has the Cleanest bathroom out of all Paneras I've been to! This is a very welcoming environment with space to meet with friends, family, and business partners. The food is hot when it needs to be hot and cool when it needs to be cool! Highly recommended! And when you get there, tell them Danny...

I must say I LOVE panera. I love the food and their " natural ingredients" approach. Stuff is also super nice. However, I am only giving it 2 stars because of their lack of implementing Covid policies that they placed. On 2 occasions people sat in the boots marked as NOT available for sitting. I had some loudly talking woman sat next to the booth I was in and NO ONE from staff even reacted to it. I flagged the manager and she did NOTHING! Why would you place stickers on tables in booths and not enforce the policy.....It happened 2 weeks in a row when we get our regular breakfast on Saturdays. This should be managed there especially when management is just sitting there at their assigned table.....staff should be on the lookout. We all want to be safe and stand by the safely policies YOU implemented. I'd say make different, more visible signs, perhaps in RED not tan..... in case people are too...
