Dropping a 5 start review down to 2 stars for a few reasons-

1. I have Celiac disease (and am gluten free as a result) and a dairy allergy to boot. I know, lucky me, try to not be jealous. 🥴 I am very flexible at restaurants and will generally state my restrictions and then let the staff/chef guide what I can have from the menu to try and make things easier for everyone. I attempted to order something from the GF menu (pork chops) but was told they couldn't make them without using butter. No big deal, so I asked for them to just tell me what I can have instead. Chef told the server to offer me beer can chicken. For those unfamiliar, beer has gluten in it. There are only a few GF breweries in existence, none of which Weber even carries beer from. There is no way I could have eaten that without being made terribly ill. 😒 I said "nope, sorry but beer has gluten in it, I cannot eat that." And was instead offered a steak at twice the price of the other menu items that I had attempted to order. At this point I was just tired and wanted to be done with it, so I consented to a steak and prayed I wouldn't get sick. For those who don't have allergies, nothing is more unsettling than realizing the person cooking your food is not familiar with common allergens. Suddenly it feels unsafe to eat a meal. It's not a great feeling. On top of that, I'm very self conscious about my restrictions and try desperately to not make a fuss or seem "difficult". It becomes exhausting to have to advocate so much just so I can eat, and I can't help what I can't eat. Dinner was fine until we received the check when...
2. I was charged to sub asparagus in for the side dish. Keep in mind, I didn't even want asparagus, it's just the only side dish they had that wasn't already pre-cooked in butter, so it was my only option, while already paying for a $45 entree that was apparently my only option as well. (The other entrees were ~ half that.)
3. We we're charged full price for my son's root beer when the kids menu states $2.50
4. And lastly, PORTIONS. My husband's ribs were tiny and tough, and his side dishes came in what looked like little sauce cups. Decidedly not the portions we remember from Weber in years past.

Our server, I need to stress, was WONDERFUL. At our asking, she fixed the root beer charge, removed the asparagus upcharge, and even gave us a small discount on my steak to compensate for the minimal options available to me. The issues we experienced felt like they were rooted in overall restaurant operation and a GROSSLY misinformed kitchen staff.

When it comes to allergies, your kitchen staff need to be experts. Full stop.

I will start with just my only bit of criticism. The pretzel bread was delicious but it was a bit cold, the first tray they brought out. The second was a little warmer but it'd be better if they were even just a bit warmer. Second, the s'more cake, while delicious, was a mixed bag. It too was lukewarm and left something wanting with the fudge it was packed with. Had it been warmer, it would have been killer. I don't recommend the desserts because they seem premade and does not match the caliber of their dinner menu.

But their dinner menu is out of this world great. I really wasn't expecting a classic grill company to have such an amazing restaurant. Every other part of the experience blew me away. The waiter was cordial and well spoken and checked in on us way more than some other local places. The strawberry daiquiri they made was perfect, even though it wasn't on their menu. A manager stopped by informed it was our first visit and give us a free sample. Their backyard brew is great, highly recommend if you like Blue Moon style beer. And so many options of dinner. From reasonably priced burgers to USDA Choice steak to BBQ and more. But there's more thought put into it then just a lot of choices. The BBQ menu mimics that of all the great BBQ restaurants, even offering 3 choice platters with a brisket that's near perfect. The steak menu is like other steakhouses. It's really like being in three different restaurants at once.

I took my daughter and grandson this evening, for a birthday celebration for my daughter. We were seated and sat at the table for ten minutes before we were greeted by a server who wasn't even ours. She said our server would be with us in a minute. It was another five minutes! He was very aloof, and brought drinks but forgot water. He never apologized for us sitting and waiting. He took our order and brought it, and never refilled my daughter's soda, until we asked. We asked to see a dessert menu, and I told him it was my daughter's birthday, but he never said "happy birthday" or offered any birthday treat. He seemed very preoccupied and for a dinner that was $100 for 3 people, I expect much better service! The food was very good, but the service really was not. Please work on your service, because it's not enjoyable to go to a nice restaurant and have poor service.UPDATE AS OF 4/6... Dave the manager, called me and we discussed the issue. He is very proud Of his restaurant, and was unhappy to hear about our service. That was very nice and thoughtful of him to respond to me, and is addressing the issue. We went again today(4/23) for lunch, and it was a completely wonderful experience from management in the front, to service and food. We were well attended to, and loved our meals.
