The smoothies are great but the customer service is horrible. I will be contacting the manager because I send a lot of Chicagoans to this location but if our dollars are not respected I will not continue to support this location. For the second time, most recently on New Yearâs Eve, I entered the store around 6:30pm. There was a nice young lady working and assisting another customer. The male worker, Ryan, came from the back looking irritated and stood at the register and started to stare at me. I was reading the complicated menu and spoke to him since there was no customer service from his end. With a continued smug look on his face, he said nothing in return. I then asked if he was going to speak or just unhappy to be working as this is rude. He just shrugged his shoulders and I asked for him to step back and allow the young lady to serve me. She was sweet but he remained in the background throwing things around just enough to know he was still an annoying unprofessional pr#%âŹ. I didnât want him touching my drink yet he did. As my daughter and I were leaving the store, I saw him snatch up the wet floor sign and behave as if heâs frustrated. Why do unprofessional people take on customer service related jobs? Find other employment but of course jerks keep their customer facing jobs. I presume Ryan is like this with everyone but it made me think since Iâm an African American woman and Ryan is a white male. Someone needs to set his rude self straight. The young lady working seemed embarrassed of Ryanâs behavior and tried to make the situation right. Poor...
Read moreSmoothies are insanely inconsistent at this location. Today my smoothie tastes like sweetened ice for example. I get smoothies 4 or so times a week from smoothie kings in the area. Most often Merrillville) The one time recently I had to complain after spending $14 on a 32oz smoothie I was given a dirty look. So I just donât bother anymore and rarely come to this one anymore. What initially irritated me is that you arenât allowed to use the bathroom which is in the lobby and clearly meant for customers as it is in all other locations. How insane is it that people are spending over $10-$15 per visit for a product and they canât even have the courtesy of using the restroom? And before the âownerâ responds Iâve been given so many different excuses for this bathroom issue from it was out of order to not having a key and today being told itâs only for employees. I see below other customers have made this complaint multiple times over the last several months so if the owner is âlooking into itâ clearly they donât care enough to resolve the issue . This location clearly needs some help as a business in...
Read moreI usually like smoothie king and never have had a problem with service. July 9 at around 8:40 me and 2 of my friends walked in and asked if they were still serving. The front lobby lights were turned off but the door was still unlocked. The girl rolled her eyes like I was being sarcastic but said yes. We let the people that came in after us go first but they couldnât decide so I walked up to the counter and ordered an açaĂ bowl. The girl taking my order just looked at me like I asked her to harvest the fruit out back to make the bowl. Then she looked over at her coworker with disgust and asked her something I didnât hear. I read the situation and said thatâs fine I donât want anything. Now I understand, if itâs a big ordeal to make a smoothie bowl and they would have to stay an extra 30 minutes I wouldâve ordered something else. Communicate to me why youâre upset and that you would like me to order something else and I would gladly if it meant saving you time closing. I just wanted a smoothie bowl, and I wouldâve...
