Someone referred this place for a very good vegetarian joint and better than chat Patti. Three of my family members visited last Sunday late afternoon( including myself) to have a light launch. We had to wait for nearly half hour to get the food served after a reminder. We were hungry and started eating samosas. Immediately we felt those were made , well before and refried again and served. Okay we were hungry😊 and so we hopped on the next dish which was vegetable cutlet .....Alas! It was some testless pulp of potatoes , corn and not sure what else . But we were hungry 😊so we left the remaining cutlet and moved to the last dish , Dahi vada.....the moment the first bite of vada we ate , all three of us strongly felt it was made of bread and not from pulses. I got the bread,'s smell immediately. Still we thought let's eat a little more as to recheck our feelings and confirm that it is taste of bread. But after two more bites , we we're confident that those vadas are made of bread. Then we broke the bread and checked inside , the bread part was clearly visible. My wife complained but the lady in the cash counter denied. We ordered one more plate of dahi vada but didn't touch it. The lady refunded the money and rushed to our table and took the other plate with her. The sweet ( Sandash) we bought was stale. Not a single food was fresh and worth money. Finally we came out and decided never to go back to the...
Read moreI have been here multiple times- here are few to do and never for you.
If you are here for eating as well as ordering food- then Order food before you stare at mouth watering sweets. If you are here during Diwali, Ganapati or any major festivals, then more sure to keep buffer time since there will be a crowd here Sweets are fresh but they are made twice a week or in some cases once, so ask for a sample if you want to be sure Gulab jamun here is absolutely amazing. They also have great Rabdi Dont order Samosa here, they are better quality in other places Try Pani Puri If the cart is open or else it’s not worth it cause it looses the charm. Cart is normally open if there is a crowd. They have good Chinese as well as Chana Bhatura, Chat etc to order but only order Chat if you are planning to sit and eat. To take home order other things but don’t order, Dosa, Bhatura, any kind or Chat. They have good milk shakes, Falooda and Lassi so try those as well Packed Shev or some of the prepackaged things are not all that great. So taste and confirm before you buy them. Corn chiwda, Potatoe Chiwda etc is Better quality from other places or even packed Lakshmi Narayan brand products from Patel.
All in all - I really like this place Barfi as well as food. As you can tell, I have tried pretty much everything from this store...
Read moreWe had an incredibly disappointing experience.
When we first went up to the counter to order, the person who was taking our order wasn't even properly listening to us, and was in fact ignoring us and talking to another person. We had to repeat items we wanted 5 times for him to finally realize we wanted to order that.
When we sat down, that's when most problems occurred. After an hour and a half of waiting, of the 7 or 8 items that we ordered, we only received some of them. Only Manchurian and Sandwich, which weren't anything that special.
When we went back up to the counter to find out how much longer our food will take, the person at the counter told us that the chef wasn't even in!
We were still fine with that, and waited and waited. and then proceeded to wait even more. When my aunt and mom went up to the counter for the 3rd time, the person who was taking our order FINALLY told us that the items that we ordered weren't even written down! And proceeded to then blame it on us, saying that we were talking amongst ourselves and not even ordering, when that wasn't the case.
You're really going to make a customer wait for almost 2 hours for food, and then accuse us of not knowing how to order?
We finally decided to pack the 2 dishes that we got and left, leaving one of the younger girls with us...
