Taco Town — Restaurant in Scottsbluff

This place has always been amazing since as long as I can remember. I grew up in the area & whenever I'm back in town there are two places to eat that I absolutely have to hit up.

Pro tips: Taco Town is known for their combination platter. You get a gigantic taco (ask for it "fried light" for a treat) a delicious tostada, a cheese enchilada & then a side of refried beans & rice with some pork chili on top; mild or spicy. The spicy isn't overly spicy IMO but adds a nice bit of flavor profile. Getting a side of pork chill to slather on your enchilada is another tip & money well spent.

They updated the inside & it feels much warmer now. The tables & chairs could use an overhaul too as they're not very comfortable. That's about the only negative keeping them from five stars.

For real, honest to goodness Mexican food on this side of the border it's tough to beat Taco Town. I've brought people from all over the world & have yet to have anyone tell me they didn't...

So I have lived in Scottsbluff all my life and have been eating at Taco Town before it moved to where it is. Got dinner tonight, combo 2 tacos 2 enchiladas, rice beans and poppers. $30.00 for enchiladas with such a small amount of cheese you couldn't tell there was any, dry, small and like leather. The tacos were the size of small empanadas with a tablespoon of meat. Half filled smaller take out cups of beans and rice. Worst meal I have ever had at Taco Town AND the most expensive for leather and miniature tacos. Too expensive for smaller portions and cooked in less sauce. Not worth the nostalgia Will go to TDO and get yummy food. Not going back for a more expensive meal than a steak with all the fixings, chicken fried chicken to die for and all the fixins and bull fries at the Broken Spoke in Minatare for less money better service and having it served to you. Ok i just revisited today at about 7 i had to sit in 100 degree weather for 25 minutes once i pulled up i had to yell to get someones attention. Ok so big deal but he still made me wait until i spoke up again about 10 minutes later i gave him my order and drove around were i waited for another 15 minutes were noone came to the window for anything nit even to take my money so i pulled up to walk in this place is yhe worst place to eat i should have gotten a discount on my meal for waiting so long. To the owners i hope u read this and talk to ur employees. This is why i will never go back. I do believe you owe me a meal for the terrible service i had on this visit. I had 3 tacos which were so greasy the bag had a whole in it from the grease and my 2 encheladas were cold. Very terrible service. July 13 2019. My bill was 15.78. Way to much for such a horrible...
