Now as I sit here eating my food I regret spending my $40 at this bland eating establishment. I came to taco de oro to get a to go order walked up to the counter only to find out they don't take cards cash only. So I wait at the counter while the lady behind the counter just stands there holding a dish rag and talking to the lady in the kitchen. I continue to wait and I guess after ahe finally finished her conversation she decided to take my order. First on my order I asked for the Enchalida plate with a soft taco. Lady proceeds to ask if I want it smothered, I reply with can I get the pork chilli on the side she proceeds to tell me that if they put it on the side I will be charged for a full order of pork chilli. I ask her they can't just take the portion that they would use to smother and put that in a cup once again snapped back with no. Ok so next item I ask for the burrito plate and this time I've learned better not ask for the chilli on the side. I ask if they have chicken tacos the lady at the counter proceeds to look at me as if I was from mars and responds no we have never had chicken tacos. I think to myself ok lesson learned better not ask for anything special or face the wrath of the taco de oro gods. I than order a Enchalida and a taco and ask if I can get a extra side of rice and beans to go with my first item once again she snaps no if you get extra rice and beans you will be charged for a full quart of rice and beans. By now I'm thinking to myself why I haven't walked out order just a smothered Enchalida plate and forget the special request. $40 later I get my food I will say in a shirt amount of time head home and to my surprise a grease platter of bland food. My enchiladas have to flavor the rice and beans are bland and the "hot" sauce taste like tomato soup no spice at all I'd of been better of just pouring a can of tomato soup on my food than paying extra for this sad excuse of a sauce. So my advice avoid taco de oro at all costs so many better options for food in scottsbluff . I will never darken...
Read moreNow normally I absolute LOVE TDOs, but tonight I was shocked at how my family and I were treated when we went to TDOs twenty minutes before eight. Now I’ve also worked in plenty of restaurants where I’ve had customers come in two minutes before I closed and have NEVER told someone they “had to order to go because I was closing.” I’m from Scottsbluff and don’t make it home very often. But when I do, TDOs is and has always been the place to go out to eat with family and kids. I was extremely disappointed in how we were turned away 15 minutes before closing. TDOs is a fantastic restaurant with delicious food. Very sad this trip I won’t be...
Read moreThe food is okay at best. Service is very friendly, though there's nothing special about the restaurant itself. I got the nachos, which was the most expensive item on the menu and one of the most disappointing. There was almost nothing on it, no beans, no sour cream, no salsa. Just canned cheese, canned jalapenos, and some steak that was somewhat decent. They delivered two containers of salsa to the table, neither of which were spicy. It was a very cheap and disappointing take on actual...
