Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Scottsbluff

We stopped here because we had also stopped at the Dairy Queen in Cozad, NE which is owned by two brothers who are the grandsons of the original owner at this Scottsbluff Dairy Queen. The brother who was working in Cozad when we were there told us his grandfather owns this, and he encouraged us to stop in Scottsbluff. Since it was on our way we decided to stop and eat, and say hi. We met their mother because she is now the manager, and she was extremely nice, as was the gal who took our order. It was fun to chat with the mom, and although it was very busy she took time to visit with us. The food was great and the place was clean even though it was filled with customers, and “mom” was busy cleaning tables and helping the people. It was obvious this is a very busy Dairy Queen, and it is well supported by the community. Be sure to stop there to eat, or to get some ice cream, and tell them the Texas couple who stopped there in July of 2025...

The blizzard I bought to go was too full for a lid but the kid behind the counter put one on it anyway and ice cream leaked out all over my car. I drove home a few blocks and the entire blizzard was melted into a runny mess. It had the consistency of water. It was melted like that in under 4 minutes. It seems that the Scottsbluff dairy queen does not care about it's quality or any repeat customers. This lid on too full of cup is a direct result of poor management. It has happened way too many times.The owner is not training the staff to do an adequate job let alone provide good service. What a shame that we no longer have an ice cream place...

This store from the outside Inn handicapped parking fantastic the building very well kept and maintained tamed the staff absolutely phenomenal the inside very easy to navigate if you're handicapped the outside handicapped parking it's spot on where it's supposed to be to the letter of the law but also the intent My food was absolutely fantastic I enjoyed the experience 100% I will definitely be going back the managers are teaching these younger people coming into the workforce great value in communications I am thoroughly impressed with the whole experience 10 out of 10 stars if I could give.. A job well done hold...
