I just ordered my food and had a bad experience. I got the Wednesday bean and cheese burrito special. The price of the special is usually around 1-3 dollars. I was charged $6.78. When I tried to bring it up the lady didn't understand because she didn't speak English. I explained that I was charged too much money and she didn't understand. I then pointed to my receipt and tried again. Eventually, she walked away and got what I assume to be manager. He came over and lied to me, saying "No Wednesday is the chimichanga special." (There is no chimichanga value deal). I then explained that on the advertised menu, it says that today is the bean and cheese burrito special. Then the two employees tried to lie again and said that I would have needed to order a bean AND cheese burrito. I did order bean and cheese. At that point I was just fed up and left. They made my order wrong, charged me too much, lied to me twice and didn't even try to fix it. This is a joke. Money is not easy to come by! I'm a broke college student and I was going to use that money for essential things, that I can now not buy. I don't think I'll be returning here...
Read moreI know taco shops because that's where I learned to cook, especially in San Diego. I've lived in Tj for 8 years and would cross the border to go to work. Lolitas, Los Panchos, Robertos, Tacos Los Gordos not to include Tijuana is right across the border. Out here it doesn't seem to compare. I bet the majority of all these Scottsdale people don't even know what a Steak Tampiquena is or Suadero. This place is a good taco shop and for the prices to portion ratio, I think it's cheaper than avg. Compared to the rest of the restaurants in Scottsdale. I had the chile relleno burrito today and it's something I typically always order at any Mexican restaurant or Taco Shop. It didn't fail. I tried the red, green, and chipotle sauces and they didn't disappoint either. Going to try the cocktail shrimp next time. It's 20 dollars is cheap compared to other Mariscos spots at 40 or 50 bucks a tarro. From what I read of other reviews, I think people just...
Read morePlace is very poor. Ordered Arizona burrito - it has Carne Asada. When I pointed out it was a shredded beef in my burrito or possibly beef stored in fluid for extensive time. They told me it was cut into small pieces. I have these regularly at other Filiberto’s and this burrito was smaller, less filings and it was NOT carne asada. I even showed them their own picture. Nothing, not even an offer to remake it. Stay clear or at least be forewarned. When they close remember I told you so. And I think you can see that they hardly ever respond to reported issues. In my case “the cook” made the decision. He could care less about customers or services. Bye bye never again at this location.
Just visited Filiberto’s on Northsight and this place does Arizona Burrito with carne asada right - see what it’s supposed...
