McDonald's — Restaurant in Scottsdale

Decided to pop into this location this morning its on my route to get to work daily. Now, I am not usually one to post on this type of stuff but this little kid at the store thought he was soooo funny this morning it really made me MAD AS HELL. Aside from trying to upsell me on a second breakfast sandwich because its a good deal and your manager told you to upsell every chance you can. How about we pay attention to the actual order not just what you wanna say. The lady that took my order interrupted me mid sentence to sell me on two breakfast sandwiches instead of one since it was a good deal and then didn't even hear that I wanted a LARGE ICED COFFEE and told her when she only gave me the total for the sandwhiches you forgot the coffee I wanted. However, I guess what she heard was a Hot Coffee I don't think that sounds like each other. Like... I want a Small HOT COFFEE - and together now - LARGE ICED COFFEE.... So this young kids brings it over to me all smiles. I told him "wait its wrong, this is supposed to be a large iced coffee." Now this is where Mr. High school comes in and says "oh sorry I'll get it fixed for you." Comes back with a small iced coffee... I looked at him and said "this is a small coffee I ordered a LARGE Iced coffee. He tells me "oh I'll go fix it again." He sets it down behind the counter and then turns around and starts filling the drive through order bags... ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDDING ME!!!! That was complete and total BULLS#!%! I told them "um excuse me but am I going to get my drink this morning?" the woman says something to the little boy in Spanish and he smirks and says "oh oops" and smiles so the manager by him grabs it and fills the drink for me. EXACTLY why fast food DOES NOT DESERVE $15/hr! What the hell is wrong with kids today...

The drive through is incredibly long, good thing they have like 2 employees in the entire building! One of them very obviously needs more training or different hours. I'm assuming the lack of training and care shown to these employees is half the problem. I wanted a McFlurry, gave the lady my code for 50%. Because I sensed her incompetence I asked what the total was when I got to the window, sure enough she forgot the code. It ended up taking a lot longer than it should have. This woman needs someone showing her what to do instead of throwing her out to the sharks, it's probably her first job and I feel bad for her. Then I finally get my McFlurry, get home, and the thing is like half full. I guess 50% OFF a McFlurry means 50% OF a McFlurry lol. It's so absurd that it's hard to do anything but laugh, but holy cow, STAY AWAY from McDonald's period, I promise you aren't missing anything. Except the damn addicting ice cream.

They trap you man, it's crazy. They make addicting ice cream, send you codes, and then make it a NIGHTMARE to actually get the stuff. Most of the time McDonald's doesn't even have the stuff. It's insane. I don't know how these places make so much money. apparently people love sub par beef. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because they actually had ice cream this time, gotta give them credit...

I guess you're asking why would anyone review McDonalds? You either like Mickey D's or you don't right? Fair question.

Well this review is about those self service kiosks. I guess the idea is to save on staff, and that you don't have to talk to anyone... You just pick what you want on the screen, pay, and wait for your number to be called. They'll bring it out to you.

The kiosk was hard to use, hard to customize stuff, and wouldn't take 2 of my 3 credit cards. I eventually got it working and sat down with my number.

After a huge wait my number was called, and then someone brought out my meal to my table - which was great. But they forgot my drink, and then when I asked about it they gave me an empty cup, even though I ordered a coke. No straw, no lid.

To top it off, my burger was slapped together, tiny, and the fries were half filled, and obviously had been sitting for some time.

I know it's McDonald's... But the price of the meals has been creeping up and is now approaching sit-down restaurant prices. For about the same price, I could have gone to Denny's down the road, got a big burger, fresh fries a drink, and all brought to my table with great service.

I know you can't expect too much from McDonald's.. But I think I'm done. So many better...
