I’m going to give a decent and nice review here, because I absolutely love this coffee shop. The location is perfect, I hit it on Saturday mornings after my power walk, and now that the weather is nice, it’s very crowded and busy. Of course I understand that. But I have to say- today was a bit different. Aside from the fact that 5 people , employees, were behind the counter, it took an unusually long time to get a matcha latte. It was obvious that one young girl standing there, behind the barista, was doing all the talking , and zero working to help move the orders along. The ONLY thing she was talking about the entire time was partying , and going out, and very loudly. Why do we need to hear all about her weekend and friends? It really came across inappropriate. I get young people. But seriously? Here’s the upside: the drink was perfect! So definitely worth it, and the young man who was working so hard making the drinks, also engaged in the conversations with the yapper girl, is obviously an excellent barista. I just wanted to bring this to your attention, to be mindful of staff engaging in too much personal chit chit instead of engaging more with your customers. That’s basic customer service. A fun work environment is also the best, having said all of the above. Awesome coffee shop! I want it to stay...
Read moreTruly HORRIBLE everything!!! The staff was nice enough but not even a single scumbag here (Not even the staff) was wearing a mask!!! Everything I ate or drank was overpriced by at least double. (As in overpriced and then doubled) the avocado toast is gross to say the least, unseasonably with all kinds of gross flavorful sauces to try to cover up the lack of salt that isn't added to the avocado. The lemonade is bland (almost tasteless) and 80% of the glass is ice. I got less than 1 fl oz liquid. (I measured) and its $3. The Moroccan mint green tea tasted like flavored dish water (no amount of Splenda could save it (trust me I did try) the ham and cheese croissant was ham croissant and oil (with no flavor) and the blueberry scone was so gross and forgettable its not worth taking time to describe. Also I had 2 $25 giftcards. (The website confirmed this) but when I went in 1 was $25 and one was $4.48) odd to say the least. Suffice it to say 🤢🤮 and I'll go back to Starbucks next time. At least at Starbucks it's just overpriced not overpriced and then doubled. Also Starbucks everything actually tastes good. UPDATE: I was so nauseated when I left from something I ate here (Not sure what) I actually did go home and puked for at least 10 minutes....
Read moreOverall, I highly recommend this Press Coffee location and Press Coffee in general!
So why the 4-stars instead of 5? I really try to reserve 5-stars for outstanding or above and beyond experiences in some way. I’ve always had a great experience here with the exception of the internet. It’s always painfully slow and the most recent time, I was unable to connect despite multiple attempts and it not being as crowded as it sometimes is. Maybe it’s just me but coffee shops tend to be great places to meet people and/or get a little work done. This is only possible with a decent internet connection. Regardless, I’m sure I’ll be back as I still love this spot.
For this visit, I tried a drip coffee and breakfast sandwich. I enjoyed both of them! I’ve had their Southwest Burrito too, which I really enjoy. I’m not big on any foods that are too spicy but I think they put just the right amount of green chili in to give a kick but not light your mouth on fire.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy as much as I do should you...
