Unacceptable delivery mistakes every single week for the past month(plus) with plenty of problems before that. It has come to this. I had a very expensive package on the way, and tracking showed it has arrived at this post office (85258) on a Saturday morning, then it showed out for delivery a couple hours later... Never got it! Went to the PO a few days later because tracking had never been updated. The clerk said in a casual tone that it was probably delivered to the postal lockers at my complex but that "a sub was filling in for the normal carrier and he must have forgotten to scan upon delivery." She didn't apologize. She didn't seem to care about my concerns and she had just admitted one of the USPS employees didn't know how to do the most basic aspect of his/her job, causing me to lose precious time and money. So I checked and she was right. It had been sitting a postal locker yet the sub/courier didn't bother to scan delivery and update tracking (and therefore I got no alert of a package waiting for me)... If I hadn't checked I prob never would have found it. NEXT EXAMPLE: Another pricey package showed it had arrived at USPS PO 85258 (my correct local PO) early morning AFTER TAKING 5 DAYS TO ARRIVE FROM CALIFORNIA (2-3 Day Proirity Mail) but then tracking showed it was sent to the WRONG PO (85255) just 2 hours later. I went in and talked to Rachael the mgr, who said "oh it looks like someone put it in the wrong bin. Oh well, you should have it in a couple of days," before she "left for the day" not even waiting for my response, she just darted out. TERRIBLE! how does she think that's acceptable? If they mess up (constantly), I would expect the staff to care how I feel and to be professional and understand that I am a huge customer who has spent hundreds on USPS this year alone. She didn't even care. I will be using FEDEX and UPS instead from now on. ANOTHER EXAMPLE: I sent a package to a client in NJ... dripped it off at the counter and clerk checked it in. Tracking showed it left the 85258 PO two times and then came back to the same PO two times... I asked what the problem was... They didn't know.. I asked if it was lost. They said no... Finally about 10 days after I mailed it ("First Class" package) it showed it had made it to NJ... My customer wanted to open a claim but i was able to convince him to give me more time... ANOTHER: I paid $25 for a package with insurance to be delivered to a post office (PO BOX) in Tuscon... The clerk at the counter corrected the mailing address so that it would get there with no delays or problems. I thanked her. Two days later I get the package returned to me for "insufficient address." So I took it back to the 85258 PO and the same clerk at the counter told me I would have to pay another $25 to get it redelivered properly. WHAT THE #%^+! Considering it wasn't ever delivered, and considering she is the same one that "corrected" the address so that it had no issues when it went out he first time, I was livid. I spoke to a manager who simply corrected the address and sent it out again without asking me to pay again... It was properly delivered two days later... There are WAY TOO MANY MORE EXAMPLES! It's like you guys are trying to make mistakes, trying to sabotage your own jobs and company.... PATHETIC QUALITY OF SERVICE, SHAMEFUL LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. it really is too bad considering all the money I have poured into USPS over the years, including recently when they have been having financial problems.... I still don't get how this keeps happening and why they can't fix it.... Can they fix it? Step one would be reaching out to me and offering some solutions and an apology. I'd settle for...
Read moreSo far I've had nothing but problems with this post office when I moved into the 85258 zip code 7 months ago. I keep getting other people's mail and I put it in the out going box with a note on it and it comes right back to me. But the worst part is described below. Sorry for the long rant. But I hope it helps others:
I had an international EMS shipment that I was tracking online it said it had arrived in Phoenix on a Friday so Saturday AM I woke up at 8 and it said out for delivery so I waited around my house for its arrival. Well 12pm arrives no package but I went down and my mail is there with a "sorry we missed you" card in my mailbox. The tracking number online said attempted delivery no answer at 10:30am, which is BS. No one came to my door. I called them up they said the carrier has the package on his truck you can come get it at the end of the day. So I showed up at 3:45pm they close at 4pm I believe. Carrier wasn't back yet they said. Then they closed so the manager said I can wait in the lobby until they get back and they would bring me the package in the lobby. Well it took an hour and finally they handed me a package and looked like someone ripped it open and stepped on the box. Luckily. My items werent harmed I waited 2 weeks for. Can't image delivery times for non ems.... 3 months?
Then a week later I ran Into my carrier as he was delivering mail to all the boxes in my condo complex and asked him about what to do since I'm not home during week days when a lot of my packages that requires signature arrive and told him about my package that was supposed to be delivered and no one even came to my front door. He handed me a stack of about 50 cards that said "sorry we missed you" and said fill it out leave it in the box and they will leave my package. I said thanks that should solve my issue.
Sooo a week later I do this - leave the filled out card in the box and of course they actually went to my door and left a card that said "sorry we missed you" signature required at my front door when I left one in my mail box!! But they didn't see it nor check... I called the post office and they said come pick it up tomorrow so I did and explained my situation and they just said oh that carrier has been sick so there has been different drivers doing the route.... Great.
So this month I run In to a different carrier on a weekday when I happen to stop home for luncb and explained I have an EMS international package I'm expecting in the next day or 2. He said leave a "sorry we missed you" card in the box signed so I do. Nothing gets delivered. I checked with the sender and they said shows your item is at the post office go pick it up! So I call them up and they said yep it's sitting here and about to be sent back out of the country!! This was after 2 weeks of waiting for EMS international! I am not happy at all with the customer service I've been receiving since I moved here. Every other post office I dealt with in the past has been perfect no issues.
Only reason I give 2 stars is because they anawered the phone each time ive called and one manager did give me my package after 1 hour of wait time. Guess I need to leave a "sorry we missed you card" in my box and one at the front door!!
Absolutely unacceptable and craziness!! They need new staff and a new post office to deliver my mail. No problems with FedEx and UPS...
Read moreI'm an e-biz owner and do a lot of shipping. This office is the closest to my office so all of my drop-offs go to this station. In the last several weeks, it has been a complete nightmare. One package (a very large expensive one, they tend to lose the heavier orders) was deemed undeliverable using a perfect address that had worked several times before. When it came back to AZ, the station saw "undeliverable" stamped on it and thought it referred to the Phoenix return address so sent it back to CA where they saw "undeliverable" and sent it back here. This expensive ping pong game went on for 3 weeks. That's just one, in the last few weeks I have spent so much of my time playing damage control, cleaning up the mess made by this station, countless emails and hours spent on the phone with USPS trying to salvage my clientele, many, many errors where certifiably I did proper on my end. This station also uses old scanners so their tracking information never loads into the system. You should see my USPS account. Going back 30 days, all of the shipments through this station have literally no tracking information. So even the ones that do deliver, clients are calling me because until the packages show up, it looks in the system like they were never sent. I am very tolerant of mistakes, I run a business, I know that things just go wrong sometimes but this is absolutely incredible. Its an entire web of failure jamming up every gear in my product delivery. Today, I'm busy with another very expensive failure, one that will likely cost me a lucrative client. It was express, $20 shipping and it never even left the station, delivery address was perfect. I'm trying to call the station and their phone isn't ringing! What else can they fail at!? I know this number works, I've used it. Is their ancient land line off the hook or something? They've also never once succeeded at returning a package, not once. I've had to go there to pick up every mistake they made, personally. I'm beside myself. This is no business, its as much a mess and beaurocracy as a social...
