Press Coffee (on Raintree) in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a cool, calm, modern oasis. It came highly recommended to me by a Scottsdale local.
This particular location is conveniently located off Raintree, close to the highway and strategically nestled between business offices and medical offices.
Perfect for those who won’t settle on Starbucks or want a little treat.
I thoroughly enjoyed my iced americano with lavender and vanilla. It was smoky yet floral with sweet vanilla undertones and notes of coffee. Decadent.
They have a cold box with food and branded cold beverages, choices are limited if you have food allergies. They also have a beautiful pastry box at the cash wrap with mini cakes and tiny delights. Branded beans and other merchandise are also available for purchase.
The interior gives wooden ocean mermaid vibes with a modern and contemporary under the sea feel. Perfect for demur meetings and remote working.
Indoor seating includes the classic tables and chairs set up, a window side counter with stools, and two strategically placed booths ideal for a Zoom Meeting background or people watching perch.
Power outlets are available just in case you need to plug in. Outdoor seating is minimal but also available, patio style.
For coffee that is artisan and press worthy, check out Press Coffee. There’s no such thing as bad press, right? Even tabloids would agree. Sleek...
Read moreI have been to every stand-alone Press coffee in the PHX area, and this one is by far the best in terms of baristas. I don't know who is training them but they are, of the locations, the most consistent and do the best job making a variety of drinks. I have ordered, cappuccinos, lattes, hot tea, chai, pastries, shaken drinks, and hot coffee - every time they do it right and well. I have even gone to their flagship location a number of times, The Roastery, and it isn't as good. Whoever is training the baristas here needs to train the rest of them too, and also get a raise, because literally cannot be beat! If you were thinking of going to a different Press, just don't, you will be sad.
On a more review note, my favorite drink ever is a hot chai with one shot of espresso. They get in these little peanut butter protein balls from Amelia's by Eat, they are gluten-free, and SO SO GOOD! They have less seats than some other locations, but it hasn't been an issue for me when I go (I am sure this is dependent on the time you get there), and the music is always just right! It isn't on a busy road which is nice if you want to sit outside. The baristas are very friendly, and patient when you are being indecisive... I know from experience! Anyways,...
Read moreWe order often from this Press Location and the one in the Quarter. A couple of times a week, I will order 4 sets of double shots, with quad shots added to each (4 cups with 6 shots each). TWICE recently I receive 12 oz of coffee. The first time they were apologetic and offered a refund for the shots they didn't produce. I didn't actually RECEIVE the refund, though, and had to go in and collect the missing shots. This time the girl on the phone wasn't very polite, and explained to me that she had somehow magically fit 24 shots in a 16 oz cup, with about 4oz of space at the top. I explained to her that a double shot is 2oz and therefore 24 shots or even 12 double shots could not physically fit into a 16 oz cup with empty space. She let me know that a double shot has a different yield than a single shot, even though a simple google search confirms this is untrue. I will be going to the Quarter from here out, as it is not worth the time...
