Raising Canes is like a sanctuary to rest your weary bones while traversing the concrete jungle of Scottsdale. The first thing I noticed upon entering this cool oasis was the feeling of peace that came over me. I felt like a burden had been lifted off of my shoulders, and something in the back of mind told me that I had no need to me afraid here. The voice of the cashier was like the voice of a friend you haven't seen in a while, and the food was ready so quickly that I had the strange idea it had been waiting for me. The tender trays of chicken seemed like they had been prepared by a loving hand that genuinely cared about me. The food was hot, warm, and filling, but for some inexplicable reason, I felt that I wasn't here for the food. The building seemed to speak to me "This place is a sanctuary. You are safe here." And for a little bit, I forgot all of my pain. All the sorrows, all the fears, the the banalities that bombard this sad existence, all of this seemed so distant for a while. I suddenly realized with unparalleled clarity, that this place was holy, this place was shelter. I know now that there is good in the world; not all is lost. In spite of the cruelty, the pain, the wretchedness, the squalor, there is solace for the weary, balm for the injured. As I left the doors of that oasis to return to the fiery battlefield of Scottsdale, I knew that while my journey was long and hard, I had been provided rest by a power that could be none other than...
Read moreI was in the drive thur with my younger cousins I was babysitting. We overheard an entire conversation between a manager and an employee. The manager and asked the employee to hope on and give some helping and she said “yes give me a second to finish this” the manager then called her an “a-hole” for being “f-ing difficult”. I was in complete shock that the manager would say something like that to an employee in front of customers. I then heard the employee get upset and told the manager that he hurt her feelings by him saying this and she didn’t even say no to helping she was just asking for a second to finish her first task. The manager continued to yell at her in front of my children and I, other customers and the workers surrounding her. I saw the employee leaving the restaurant while we were in the parking lot. She seemed upset and distressed. I went up to her and asked if she was ok. She was incredibly apologetic for everyones behavior and she hoped that we come back. I learned that the manager who yelled at this young woman name is Pablo. I believe the workers name was Eden or Edith…I didn’t catch her name. As someone who works at a restaurant I know this is unacceptable management and I will not be coming here again with this kind of management. I wish better...
Read moreWent through drive thru. Girl running the window has my good at the counter. I saw her being it up. I am the only person in line. She is talking to a co worker in the corner and it takes he 45 seconds to even acknowledge me at the window as she has to finish her very important conversation. Then she opens the window and takes my money. It takes her 2 minutes to make the change cause she is still finishing her conversation with the co worker and not making my change. She makes my change and hands me my food that is sitting there for the entire time. My gripe is not with the amount of time it took. My gripe is this worker could not have cared less that I was there. I was not her priority. Guess what, I vote with my pocketbook. I pay your wages. I choose to vote no on canes at this location ever again. You...
