When you go into a Starbucks, you don't expect is to have an issue with one of the baristas. But that's what happened at this location.
I ordered a vente horchata cold brew, which came n a very nice glass to consume in-house. The person that was meeting me was late and I drank all of it before they arrived. So I decided to go to the counter and order another.
As I stepped up to the counter, ready to order another vente horchata, a sort of burly looking male barista, looked over his shoulder and said bluntly, "That goes in the bin over there." He was referring to the empty glass that I still had in my hand. At that moment, however, I didn't know what he was talking about, or what bin he was referring to. So I replied, "I just want to order another..." and before I could get the rest of that sentence out, he turned and ordered me to take my glass and put it in the dirty glass bin, by the creams and sugars, on the opposite side of the room. I would have gladly done so, but his aggressive, rude, and directive posture prompted me to reply that I don’t work there and don’t appreciate being spoken to in such a manner. A female barista stepped in and took my order. But he was not done. He ordered me once again to put the glass in the bin. I've refused and left it on the counter.
I eventually got my second order and left. However, it had not been made to my specifications, which the female barista had gladly done for the first order.
This put a damper on the meeting with my friend and it was unpleasant all around. This unpleasant young man needs to go back to Starbucks...

Read moreI’ve never encountered such a miserable barista at a Starbucks before. This guy wouldn’t acknowledge my presence when I walked up to order. I wasn’t even sure if he was there to take my order at first, it was that awkward. Then when my drink was ready he just set it on the counter and walked away. I assumed it was mine since they weren’t busy but this guy needs a cup of happy juice or something because it really brought down the whole vibe I didn’t even want to...
