I’ve been a loyal fan of Sushiholic ever since I moved to Phoenix and started visiting their Arcadia location. So, you can imagine how thrilled I was when I discovered they were opening a new spot right next to my apartment complex in Scottsdale!
The new location just opened about a week ago, and I’ve already been several times. The first thing that stands out to me is the exceptional service. As a business owner, I know firsthand how crucial great customer service is, and Sushiholic excels in this area. The hostesses always greet you with big smiles and make you feel welcome. Even when the place is packed, they take the time to interact with you as they show you to your seat.
The wait staff is equally impressive! I’ve had the pleasure of being served by Kim, Ali, and Mina all of whom are incredibly sweet, attentive, and always check to ensure you have everything you need. If you’re unsure what to order, don’t hesitate to ask for their recommendations as they’ve got you covered. Cep, one of the managers, is also extremely friendly and sets a great tone for the team.
Now, let’s talk about the food. It’s absolutely delicious! They offer a few unique menu items at this location that you won’t find at the other location, like the Chicken Kara-age and Chicken Tenderloin skewer, both of which are definitely worth trying. I ordered the cucumber salad, miso soup, sea bass, the First Love roll, and the Second Climax roll. Shota and Andrew were the chefs behind the counter during my visits, and I had the chance to chat with them about their experience. It’s clear they are passionate about what they do, and that love comes through in the food. They did an outstanding job!
Overall, I highly recommend Sushiholic! I can’t wait for cooler weather when I can enjoy their outdoor seating. Whether you’re a sushi newbie or a longtime fan, this is definitely a place worth...
Read moreNot as good as the Arcadia location. Arcadia is my favorite sushi place in general so when I saw this location pop up I was excited! The restaurant itself is very nice but also VERY small! It’s a tight restaurant. Not much room for the servers to even get around in between the bar and the booths. Very awkward lay out in my opinion. But the finishes everywhere are nice. The food does not compare which is weird because I’m sure they were trained by the staff at the other location or I’m sure even some of the cooks moved to the new location. Crunchy tuna roll had the most sticky rice. Like actually hard to chew and stuck to your teeth like caramel does. The strangest thing. The fried rice seemed like it was made with minute rice. Egg rolls are definitely just spring rolls. The pink sauce that comes with it was watered down and no flavor whatsoever. Their spicy tuna roll and dragon were really good though! We definitely won’t be back, we’ll continue to go to the...
Read moreIt’s so sad for me to write this as I’ve been going to both locations of Sushiholic for over a year now and have told everyone to try it…I had dinner at this location tonight and my experience was all around disappointing. It started off with a hair in my edamame, I let the server know and she didn’t really care and just said she’ll get a new one. 0 apology. I ordered a miso soup and spicy crab roll that never ended up coming out but ended up on our bill. As well as a server bringing us food that wasn’t ours and meant for a different table. We only had someone check on our table once the whole night after only getting two out of the four things we ordered. By the time someone came over to us we didn’t even want the other food we had ordered anymore and she already had the check in her hand before asking if we were finished. Overall super disappointed in the lack of...
