Just had my first experience here and I must say what an experience indeed. The entrance is reminiscent of a sketchy bar. Upon entering I was blasted by the ungodly noise of a woman singing. The speakers were far to loud to make the vocals enjoyable and it made hearing my server very difficult.
The inside is extremely dark and the table was a little dirty. I ordered pho and absorbed in the atmosphere. Yep, it's just to much for me. The yelling, the overly loud music, the drunken patrons - it's not my kind of dining experience but to each their own.
The service I received was awesome. I had an attentive server who asked me numerous times how the food was, if I needed anything else, and who refilled my water cup before it was to low. I was actually very impressed with service because it was nothing like the reviews I read. I might have just gotten lucky.
The pho was a bit on the pricey side but was of good portion. Furthermore, my pho ( vegan broth veggie pho) was really tasty. Its appearance was pleasant with hearty cut carrots and vegetables. Even more surprising was the flavor. It actually had a very desirable and delicious flavor.
Will I be back? Yes!
UPDATE 1/25/17
The live music was enjoyable. My previous visit must have been an off day. I...
Read moreWalked inside on a Friday night and was drowned out by noise, they had a live band playing so loud you had to scream to talk to someone, when I walked in there was no host or any apparent staff, after standing near the entrance for roughly 5 minutes I saw someone approach the host and who never even greeted me, I had to approach them ask them how the seating process work to which I was informed you seat yourself and a server will be by to help you shortly, I asked about the outside seating and I was told you can sit out there as well as server will be with you, sat outside for 15 minutes is multiple servers passed by me and never once asked if I was waiting to order or what was going on, as I was waiting I watched a short heavy set bald man with silver hoop earrings pick up a check from a table of customers who just left and we're standing out in the parking lot talking and apparently he wasn't happy with the tip they had left because he stared at them shaking his head judgmentally, that was my cue to leave because the server was more concerned about a tip versus patrons waiting to be serviced.
I would have loved to give the food a try but how is someone supposed to order food if the servers don't...

First... the establishment is definitely not your standard pho restaurant lol... it was more like a dive club... but I got no problem with it, I think it was cool.
Servers were working hard you definitely have to approach them they are too busy to find you but when you do approach the servers they chop chop quickly from my view.
The pho... Firstly and most important... the broth. Its not bad actually. It's certainly not the best I've had but no possible way near worse either. I think if they added a bit of cinnamon to it that would give it an extra level of flavor it's lacking.
To the chef... please do not cut the noodles like I'm a baby. Its so annoying eating pho with chopsticks where the kitchen pre cuts the noodles. I've noticed a few other places do this. Please stop this travesty at once.
Soup for the price I feel could use a bit more rare beef and onions. This shortfall combined with the safe middle of the road broth I have to give this pho 3/5 stars. Work on the broth and the other things I mentioned and stop cutting the noodles and I'm sure this pho easily shoots up to above average... But like I said, it's decent... just slightly...
