I've been here twice with priority pass, ordering to go. Both times the service was terrible and the staff very unprofessional.
First time, the food took forever, then when it finally came out, it was sitting behind the counter (out of reach) for at least 5 minutes before someone would bag it and hand it to me. The whole time there was a guy standing at the order window like 2 meters away, aware that that's my order because he put it there, and instead of bagging it he'a just watching and waiting for a waitress to come.
They have like 7 employees coming and going at the counter and none of them could take 10 seconds to grab a bag and hand me my order. Eventually I went to the waitress to ask if she could give it to me.
They also gave another customer the wrong order.
Second time, I was traveling with a friend and we placed two separate orders. Mine had the zucchini fries and some other stuff. After, again, a long wait for the food, my friend's order came up. I told the waitress, "Thank you, we're also waiting on the other order with the zucchini fries, this and that". She said "Oh! We don't have zucchini fries", (this is at least 20 minutes after we had ordered,) and walked away.
So I ask the other waitress to check about my order. She just says "it's coming". 2 minutes later, she hands me a bag, and leaves. I check the bag and there are no zucchini fries. I go back to asked her and she says "oh, we don't have it so we took it out".
Basically they were aware they were giving out the order missing an item I technically paid for. They didn't ask if I wanted a substitution or anything.
Again there's the same guy standing at that order window and his only job seems to be to watch the orders and communicate them to the cook. I have no idea why they couldn't tell me they're out of the item when I ordered, or while I was waiting at the window for the food.
At that point ordering anything else was going to set me back 10 minutes, and I had paid for it with priority pass anyway, so I just took the food and left.
This time also, they gave another customer the wrong order.
I also saw a waitress spill some soup on the plate as she was carrying it to a table (she had like 3 plates). I saw the whole scene play out as she put the food down, seemingly hesitated to grab a napkin to wipe it out, then decided to take it to the table anyway with a simple "sorry I spilled". The same table asked for their missing drink. Waitress went to grab it from the counter 3 meters away and the customer said in an annoyed way "oh, it's been sitting there the whole time?".
The whole place is a mess. Avoid if you're late for a flight. The only salvation is that they take priority pass....
Read moreRecently, we visited Brewtop Social using Priority Pass from U.S. Bank. Upon arrival, the staff at the front desk seemed skeptical about accepting the Priority Pass, asking several questions before scanning it even though the restaurant was pretty much empty. Their demeanor gave the impression that they might not be very welcoming toward Priority Pass customers.
We were eventually allowed entry and seated. Since it was around 9:15 AM, only breakfast items were available. My wife ordered Chicken and Waffles ($18), while I decided to wait until 10:00 AM to order from the broader menu as the restaurant was not busy. The breakfast arrived quickly, and it was good. However, during our wait, the server gave us some odd looks, which made us feel slightly uncomfortable.
At around 10:00 AM, I ordered Shrimp Tacos with Onion Rings ($24), and again, the food was served promptly and tasted decent. With the Priority Pass restaurant benefit, we are entitled to $28 per person, totaling $56 for two people. Since our total was only $42, we wanted to order additional items to make full use of the benefit and pay for anything extra. However, our server informed us that she closed our tab without notifying us, and any new items would require opening a new tab, meaning weâd have to pay the full amount out of pocket, despite having $14 of unused credit remaining.
Also, we waited for about 10 minutes, expecting to receive our check so we could tip the server anyways and leave. However, no one brought the check to our table. Eventually, I went to the front desk to inquire and was informed that everything was already taken care of. With that, we simply left.
Note to the restaurant owner: If you no longer wish to accommodate Priority Pass customers, I kindly suggest reconsidering your partnership with Priority Pass. This would save both your staff and customers from unnecessary frustration.
Tip to the Priority pass members: If you like to avoid awkward experience like ours, consider...
Read moreI kind of don't want to review this spot and spoil the secret. This is a newish space so understandable it wasn't too busy but even still, this place is spacious!
It's in the central/main terminal but hidden upstairs above the new Salty's. Walk up the stairs (sort of a pain to lug your bags) and you'll find plenty of space to relax, enjoy the view, a brew and food.
The seating is very comfortable, not the normal uncomfortable and cramped seats you find the airport. By the way, I'm confident they use these uncomfortable seats to keep people moving through! Anyway, there's several seating/dining areas and a bar top for quick service. The seating overlooking the airfield is the largest, then a smaller area near the bar, then another space tucked away by itself to the right of the stairs entry.
The beer list is the best in the airport by far. Loads of local craft beer options, rotating seasonals, usual suspect domestics as well as a full bar.
The food is varied from soup/salads and appetizers to sandwiches and flatbreads. The BBQ Chicken flatbread was very tasty. The cook was slightly inconsistent with one end crispy and the rest more soft and doughy but the flavor was great.
All in all, four craft beers (not all mine!) and a flatbread for $70 including tax and tip. Not terrible for an airport for two people.
The WiFi was pretty inconsistent up on the second floor. I was able to get work done but don't expect to stream a movie over your lunch. There are TVs at the bar which is nice.
I'm very happy to have this new spot at SeaTac! It'll be my go-to when I have time to sit and enjoy a drink/bite...
