After traveling all night and part of the day we decided to stay in the Seattle area over night to relax and rest. We looked at probably 45 hotels online trying to decide which is the best value for the price. Finally we ended on the Radisson which looked modern and like it had plenty to offer it was by no means the least expensive but it was not the most expensive either. We booked and checked in. Exhausted both of us napped upon arrival well tried too the floor was sticky and the bed had giant lumps in it visible through the tucked in bedding.... After cleaning the floor and trying to sleep on the not comfortable bed we ordered food from the bar and grill. For the two of us to both have an entrée and a drink it was $110 little on the pricey side but the food was very good. One of the perks or so we thought was there are two TVs well turns out you don't get a smart tv and the don't have premium channels literally digital free channels only? I was really upset about that I mean $250 a night I better have some premium everything. Feeling robbed and irritated I wanted to go outside and get some air when I saw on the floor next to the couch and lamp a syringe cap in a pile of lint and dirt that obviously didn't get cleaned when the maid missed the bathtub, peephole and the floor.. no worries its not like its covid season! Now I'm afraid of where the rest of the syringe may be... I attempted to call the front desk 7 times I got on hold 5 of the 7 waited 10 mins each time to never get picked back up. Finally frustrated and over waiting we had to go into town before stores closed I decided I would bring what I found to the front desk since they were not available. I should have demanded another room or money back but I thought they will take care of it just be calm you already cleaned room and went through it there is nothing in there its safe. I tried again on phone the following morning with no success. I had to be online for a meeting that was last minute scheduled for me. I got through to front desk and asked for a late check out as I need to be online for a meeting. She said they were booked solid and she cant give me any time past. I asked if 1 pm would work she agreed to it but sounded irritated. I was saying one other thing when she hung up the phone. Yikes! I at this point chuckled because it had to be a joke. I called back guess who was on hold endlessly again ! Having spent a few hours on hold I was over it and thought Ill deal with this when I'm no longer inside their walls. So I called once I left and got transferred 4 times before someone would listen. She listened attempted a very fake sorry told me she would call me back and address the issues. Hmmm no call nothing... I am beyond disappointed There are hundreds of choices in the Seattle area some extremely nice hotels. My advice don't gamble with the Radisson. I will not be returning ever unless I hear from them and they provide resolution. I can not believe the experience we had and paid good money for $250 for syringe caps dirty floors and a old lumpy bed, oh almost forgot digital free channels only this is a shame.. Motel 6...
Read moreI've had the opportunity to stay twice at this perfectly located hotel. For those coming in late or leaving really early it's a great spot.
Overall a good reliable place to stay when you want to be close to the airport.
Pros Location - has a free shuttle bus that runs 24/7 and once you land you can call them and they'll send someone who'll be there in less than 10 min which is great. Rooms are lovely, very spacious eith comfy beds. There's a small coffee maker, a small fridge and a little microwave as well
Most staff are super friendly and knowledgeable to help you with whatever you need
*Breakfast is really nice and they have a great variety of options, all quite delicious and filling
Tender is a lovely server at the restaurant who helped my partner and I out our last stay when we couldn't figure out the train system for the life of us (I travel all around the world and Seattle's public transportation is one of the worst I've ever experienced). The receptionist that morning had no clue about the train from the airport to Seattle let alone any amtrak info but Tender went above and beyond to help me, down to searching on her own phone and was able to find exactly what we needed. She had a great attitude, amazing energy and also made one of the best bloody Mary's ever. She also saved me from a bad pastry as I'd hoped to have one but she clocked they weren't good so amfe sure not to serve me something bad and then ensured all of them were chucked so no one else would get a bad one. She definitely deserves to be recognized!!
When we had an issue with our toilet not working after arriving well past midnight they promptly switched our room and gave us voucher for breakfast when we asked which was really kind
Cons Some accessible king rooms are not meant for anyone with accessibility needs, we called and shared that info after our stay because it was ridiculous how it would've been impossible for anyone to use, even for us who are fully able.
Some staff are not knowledgeable about public transportation options at the airport or nearby so it's hit or miss with getting help with that. Which is odd given the majority of people I imagine who are there are going to or from...
Read moreThe service was atrocious. The night desk person had zero authority to solve problems. I made a reservation through a 3rd party site. I know, first mistake. They transmitted my guest's name and only my guest's name on the reservation. I made the reservation but they didn't get my name. I'm not blaming them for that. Here's what I am blaming them for: no common sense or ability to make things right. When I went to check in I could not check in. They only wanted to see the ID of the name on the reservation (we have the same last name). She missed her flight. I had the email with the confirmation number, my name on it. They could have called 3rd party and asked them if my name was who made the reservation. They wouldn't do a damn thing. They wouldn't check me in because of 'security reasons'. Which is also stupid because if somehow this was fraudulent, when the real person came to check in they could just ask, were you expecting Mr Edmonds to check in too? If no, they could check her into a different room and call the cops. Seriously though, how likely is this scenario? They wouldn't even accept me standing there as good enough to keep the room, they said they'd mark it as a no show. I'm standing there with the reservation email, with an ID with the same last name and they're going to mark it as no show! Oh and because it was prepaid they won't modify or refund it either. If you're going to do business with and allow 3rd parties to make reservations, then make some policies so you can freaking call them in the event of screw ups like this and sort it out. Empower your employees to use common sense and give them options. That's on you Radisson.
Ah management is falling back on "safety" as the excuse. Ok maybe there's a domestic violence situation, the husband tries to check in under the wife's name. When the wife comes and picks up her key, tell her this guy (whose ID and credit card you already have) already checked in. If she says that's my violent husband, you call the police and check her into a different room. Checking someone alone in is not a safety risk. At the VERY LEAST DO NOT MARK IT AS A NO SHOW!! That has nothing to do with safety. That's just...
