The server on-site would not provide other options for an accessible menu. I was not able to pull up the menu via QR code asked for other options. The server replied log onto airport WIFI. Still not able to pull up the menu by being online, I began to look outside of the restaurant for a written menu.
Lady approached me and said there is not wine listed on the printed menu. I asked her how she would help someone who wants to dine at your establishment who had low vision or even blind. I asked again can you provide another means for me to read the menu?
She walked away and did not provide equal service.
Just file a formal complaint with Port of Seattle and will file a complaint with the Dept. of Justice.
Side note for businesses when providing a services to the General Public they must:
Title III focuses on private businesses (also known as public accommodations). All new construction and modifications must be accessible to individuals with disabilities. The server snaps at us âyou need to wait to be seated.â Ok⊠Totally get that and I apologize but we didnât know and also the restaurant has two occupied tables and about 15 empty tables. So we walk to the door and stand there while she strolled around getting waters and taking orders for her two tables and generally working very hard to ignore us. We stand there for 5 min. 5 min we could have been sitting at the still-empty table. Then she comes over and my friend says âWe came in the side entrance so we didnât see the sign that says âwait to be seated.â And the lady snaps back âYou donât have to be confrontational!â There was literally not one thing about what my friend said that was confrontational. She was simply pointing out that there is no sign at the side entrance. My friend pointed out the server had been confrontational with us since we walked in the door so the lady yells âthen you can just leave!â So we did.    Read moreI have eaten here at Vyne Seatac twice in 13 days on business trips to Seatac awaiting my return flights. They work their butts off here; short staffed and yet consistently pleasant. While the prices may be more than customers expect, I know that restaurant supply chain is suffering and People I get it; all of us are ready to return to a pre-COVID world yet we have to go forward together!
For the folks comparing Vyne to âVinoVoloâ, you might consider the benefits of embracing the present and appreciate all businesses that have both failed and the surviving businesses alike.
Running a small business is historically brutal and that is the one thing that COVID hasnât changed.
Itâs Summer 2021, show a little patience and a big dose of gratitude that Vyne is here; maybe the haters should go elsewhere OR find for a more productive use of time than projecting frustrations on others.
Because my June 10 visit to Vyne was memorable, albeit pricey .. still excellent. Today 6/26, I held off eating all day to enjoy food and wine at Vyne.
