We stopped in to grab a bite to eat because our regular place was closed. First appearances yielded a fairly normal Mexican restaurant as far as decor goes. The chips were crispy and the salsa verde was really good but the red salsa lacked flavor. The queso was really good as well. Overall the food was ok across the board but nothing I would com back for. On yo the food.
B2. Huevos Rancheros. 5/10 Topped with Ranchera Sauce Served with Beans and Tortillas. The eggs were cooked perfectly but the ranchero sauce needed more flavor and a lot more ranchero sauce.
D17. Beef fajitas Burrito. 5/10 Topped with gravy, Cheese, Served with Guacamole, Rice and Beans Overall the dish looked great but the burrito had a huge lack of flavor. The refried beans and rice were blah. They both really had no flavor at all which was a real letdown because I love rice and beans. The gravy was ok but the beef fajita was over dry and flavorless. Appearances in this case were very deceiving.
M4. Pechuga Poblana. 6/10 Chicken Breast topped with Poblano Pepper Sauce Monterrey Cheese Served with Guacamole Salad Rice, Beans and Tortillas. Once again the dish looked great but we know how that turns out. The chicken was cooked nicely. The poblano sauce was void of flavor. That was a huge blow to the dish. The whole reason for ordering was the sauce. It was creamy but that was it. The beans and rice were already a no go.
It seams that if you like dishes with not much flavor then this place will be perfect. The customer service was good so I can’t fault them there. They even gave us a free cup of charro beans which was honestly the only thing that tasted...
Read moreTraveling with my parents, we stopped here for what we thought would be a quick order to go for our roadtrip back home of 3hrs. Ordered 3 fajita tacos with avocado to go and they took 20mn to have it ready for us. Not only did we loose travel time for waiting so long, but as we drove off, not even 2mn on the road, we had to return because my parents tacos did not have avocado, as requested. Normally we do not write negative reviews, but what bothered us the most was not the food but the treatment of the hostess. When we got back to the restaurant, my dad got off and shared with the hostess that the tacos did not have avocado and we had paid for it, she did not give good customer service and was being difficult. She offered some non sanitary suggestions like taking the tacos back to the kitchen to spread avocado on the tortilla, my dad requested the avocado be given on the side but she was being rude and said he had to pay for something he had already paid for. My dad did not feel heard and ended up leaving the tacos, that had been paid for, with the hostess and walked off frustrated by this experience. Again, we usually do not write negative reviews, but this treatment was not fair and I hope no one else experiences this or perhaps some training needs to be given to the hostess so that she can make the customer feel understood and cared for....
Read moreChicken fajitas were good. Fajitas come with onion and your choice of meat with pico, cheese, sour cream, chopped lettuce and guacamole. There weren't any peppers served with the fajitas. I am used to having some cooked bell peppers with the onion, but this did not detract from the dish.
The only real ding I would give is the guacamole. It was not fresh and I don't think it is made at the restaurant.
The rice was very fluffy and cooked well.
One point I thought was weird is there are signs saying that fajitas are $2.00 more due to food cost increases. Maybe the community can't stomach such an increase without a reason, but in 2021 prices are up across the board. Would rather the menu just reflect the correct price and not be bombarded while walking in about a $2.00 increase. Just my out of town perspective.
Would...
