Alright, buckle up buttercups, because we're diving into the curious case of the Starbucks Misto Mystery! You know me, I'm all about uncovering the truth behind what's in your cup, and let me tell you, this recent run at a particular Starbucks location has got my flavor radar doing a full-on jig. We're talking about a Blond Café Misto with heavy cream and caramel, a seemingly simple order, right? The kind of comforting, golden elixir that should hit just right, day in and day out. But here's the rub, folks. My first visit? Boom! A delicious symphony in a cup. A light roast singing its sweet, mellow tune, perfectly complemented by that rich cream and a whisper of caramel. We're talking a five-star, 'I'm coming back tomorrow' kind of vibe. Then, the very next day, I roll up, order the exact same thing, ready for a repeat performance. And what do I get? Not one, but two completely different beverages! First off, the blond roast seems to have gone on vacation, replaced by what tasted like a dark roast impostor or, worse, straight-up espresso. My taste buds were doing a double-take, shouting, "Where's the light, bright joy?!" And the kicker? The two cups I ordered at the same time were also radically different. It's like they were playing coffee roulette behind the counter! Now, I'm all for a little culinary creativity, but when you order the same dish, the same way, you expect some consistency, whether you're in California or North Carolina. It's the bedrock of a good chain experience! I'm not looking for a red carpet, just a friendly face, my order accurate, and in my hands before my hair turns gray. These are the fundamental principles that, frankly, Starbucks used to nail with the precision of a master chef. It feels like they've lost a little of that mojo, and that's a bummer, because I'm a long-time fan. Don't get me wrong, I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. I'm a glass-half-full kind of guy, and I truly believe they're working on getting back on track. I'm giving them another shot, same order, same place. My palate is ready, my hopes are high, and I'll report back with the full scoop. Here's hoping the next review is a rave, because a good cup of coffee from a consistent spot? Thats truly the...
Read moreMoved out to Sealy to get away from Houston crime. Wanted small town kind, polite service. I’ve been to this Starbucks few times and it’s always been great. Not sure if they had a morning off, but no one was smiling they all seemed miserable. I ordered hot tea and when it was given to me I asked for sugar in the raw. I put my hand up to point at it, and the young girl with pink hair snapped at me not to reach my hand over that she would get it for me. I am having severe allergy and drainage so my voice is a bit hoarse. This is why I reached out to pointe. That young girl needs to learn respect for her elders. There could’ve been a more polite way for her to go about that. I did made a comment to one of the other girls, that none of them seem happy smiley today, is it because they were busy and overwhelmed. She got attitude with me as if I offended her. Then the grouper and clearly began gossiping about me. All I can say if you’re going to work the morning shift at a coffee shop you need to be more upbeat, smiling, and kind, because you could affect peoples day. Think I’ll go out of my way and go to Starbucks in Katy. Or maybe one of the mom and pop places out here. This group needs to learn respect, and...
Read moreI was in sealy tonight visiting a couple friends and we decided to come in for a drink before heading back to college station. The two girls that were there tonight, one of them named Alexis, made us feel really unwelcoming. As soon as we walked in we decided to use the restroom first and they came in to the sink area to see what we were doing. We walked out and I placed a drink order and they were being really rude about it. As we waited for our drinks, they kept looking at us, talking to each other through the headset and mugging us the entire time we were there. I tried to be nice to them by saying thank you, and I’m sorry for being complicated with my order but they couldn’t even make eye contact when I tried to talk to them. As I left the store I had to be the one who said a goodbye because they couldn’t even look up or say a greeting. I’m the type of individual that goes to Starbucks EVERYDAY and I’ve NEVER had such a bad experience before. If you’re going to work at Starbucks, you should be friendly, look up whenever the customer is talking to you and specially treat everybody equally. I hope the management team does...
