I'm not sure what was worse, the river of poo or the projectile vomiting after eating here....
Let me roll back the clock to this afternoon when I decided to get lunch from this particular location. I arrived at the drive-through and placed an order I've had in the past with zero issues. 3pc chicken tenders (regular not spicy), curly fries, coke zero, and order of the tiny tacos (regular, not sauced and loaded.... oh God, the thought of that alone made me throw up in my mouth a little again).
I pulled up to the window and after waiting what felt like approximately five minutes (not that that bothered me because that usually means the food is being prepared and would be fresh and hot) before I received my order. There appeared to be nothing wrong with it. All items were present and accounted for, and off I drove.
The chicken tenders were definitely fresh and crispy (which is the big draw for me when selecting tenders from the plethora of choices from other restaurant chains). The curly fries were curly, well seasoned, and while they appeared to particularly extra greasy (something I could see and taste as the grease glimmered in the sunlight), they were still crispy.
The tiny tacos were a letdown. This was the first time (out of maybe three times I've ever ordered them) that they weren't piping hot. In fact, they were quite the opposite. There were at least 4 that were stone cold in the middle.
By the time I finished my meal, I had arrived at my destination some 10 minutes later. After around 20 minutes after that, I began to feel off. My stomach began to cramp, I started to get a headache, and I felt very nauseous. I finished my coke zero, and with each burp, I could taste the chicken tenders and tiny tacos. I knew something was very wrong.
Later in the evening, I wasn't any better. While I was able to fall asleep, I was awoken several hours later by a deep rumbling of my tummy (not the good kind like in Winnie the Pooh). I'll spare you any more details than I've already likely over shared, but please refer to my first sentence of this review to get you an idea.
This brings me to the present, where even after multiple trips In n out (which would have been a better choice, though hindsight is always 20/20) of the bathroom either sitting on or in front of the porcelain throne, I still feel like crap.
Looooong story short, maybe in the future, if whoever is still reading this review, is hungry and is on the hunt for some food, maybe just maybe, they'll remember me and think to ask the person working the counter or drive through taking orders, when the last time they changed the fry oil (if ever) and maybe request it changed or simply take your hunger and money elsewhere.
Please learn from my experience, please feel free to share it with your friends and family, and please for the love of god, don't end up suffering the same fate as me (something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy).
This is where I leave you now, as I must return to my post on the potty. Will this ever end? Will I receive a response from management? Will I need to buy a new toilet and some mouthwash? Stay...
Read moreJackie at the Seaside location was great, and THAT is what the 5*'s are for...HER location in Seaside only! Now to go back to the beginning... we drove to Jack N the Box store #9014, in Monterey FIRST(889 Abrego St). We went through the drive through(12:28am). A man with an accent who I later found out from Jackie in Seaside(she is over Monterey location) was named Dominic. He spoke over the speaker and said he was on his break and had 20 minutes left and did we want to wait(did not think they were ALLOWED to do that). I THOUGHT he was kidding so I responded with a "sure we have time" a bit sarcastically. We waited a few minutes and then I thought he must have been serious, so I turned off my ignition and sat there waiting...for 30 minutes(now 12:58am). Dominic NEVER came back and I both spoke to the speaker AND honked my horn...to no avail! So then after waiting a few more minutes(1:03am), I drove up to the window you pay at. There was nobody there. It was kinda creepy and I began to wonder if maybe they were or had been robbed or something. The window was open about 1/2 inch, so after honking and getting no response again, I got out of car and opened window. All of a sudden Dominic starts yelling, in a very heavy accent saying "NO, NO YOU CANT DO THAT! YOU CANT OPEN WINDOW"! AND PROCEEDS TO TELL ME "NO FOOD FOR YOU YOU HAVE TO LEAVE YOU CANT HAVE FOOD NOW" and proceeds to shut the damn window. I'm like FTW. I tried to explain WHY I opened the window and thought they were being robbed or something(there was a small little Hispanic woman with him). He just kept saying "NO FOOD FOR YOU. YOU HAVE TO LEAVE. I AM REFUSING YOU SERVICE" When I asked his name he turned his back on me and put his hand up, like "talk to the hand". Seemed a bit childish to me for being a manager! He was some sort of manager because he had the red shirt on like Jackie in Seaside location. When I was asking Jackie about the red shirts and how do I contact their corporate office, she ALREADY knew what I was gonna tell her and rolled her eyes in frustration and disgust with this Dominc person. She freely gave me his name and the store number on my receipt from her location. My guess would be that Dominic has had MANY complaints! So if you feel the need to go to Jack N the Box DO NOT GO TO MONTEREY! 😡 DRIVE A LITTLE FARTHER AND GO SEE JACKIE IN SEASIDE. SHE IS...

I visited Jack in the Box on July 15 at 942pm at the Fremont location. Unfortunately, my experience was highly disappointing and concerning.
Customer Service: Upon placing a large order, Marjorie, who took my order, instructed me to park in an illegal spot due to the size of my order, which was inconvenient and risky.
Wait Time: I waited for an hour before taking matters into my own hands and approaching the restaurant, where no one responded to my knocks.
Refund Denial: When I returned to the drive-thru for a refund, a Hispanic man with dark hair refused initially and handed over cold food worth about $30, intended for my young children aged 5 and 7.
Resolution: Upon questioning, he eventually agreed to a full refund after an additional 20 minutes and promised fresh food, which was not provided.
Overall Experience: This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Despite being a regular customer who often recommended this location, I am deeply disappointed and vow never to return.
Health Concern: I strongly advise others to be cautious about the risk of food poisoning based on my experience. Conclusion: Jack in the Box in Fremont failed to meet even the basic standards of customer service and food quality. This experience has left me with serious concerns about returning or recommending this...
