I really want to like this cafe since there aren't many coffee shops in this neighborhood, but I've tried the coffee here a couple times and it is borderline undrinkable. I tried again recently after a few months hoping that it would be better, but either the beans are low quality or burnt, or the drinks are over-extracted, because the coffee is so overpoweringly bitter that I have not been able to finish the drinks the last few times I've tried. Given that they charge considerably more for the average drink in Seattle, it's frustrating to have wasted $7 on an undrinkable latte. Their pastries taste like they are just pre-packaged or day-old stuff because the ones I've tried have all been extremely dry.
The service is good and pretty fast, and the ambience is cute, but I hope they are able to improve the quality of their...
Read moreThis is one of very few cafes in this area but $8 for an 8oz mocha is ridiculous, especially in one of the areas in Seattle with the lowest income. When I mentioned how pricey that was the worked immediately snapped back at me that they did research. As someone who is not working right now I have done MY research and she was rude and lying, even in West Seattle there aren't any coffee shops that charge that much. Of course because I was counting on coffee to get me through a string of interviews I paid it and it was not worth what I paid - I am a HUGE proponent of supporting local businesses but not ones that take advantage of customers by over charging for subpar items. Also it was one of the coldest cafe's I have ever been in, I was planning to do job apps while I sat and drank my coffee but I had to leave it...
Read moreIt’s okay. Coffee isn’t great for the price, it’s more expensive than most options in the city but because it’s the only option in this part of town it gets a pass I guess. The one thing that really bothered me was the $7 breakfast burrito. It was like 4 inches long and was some prepackaged frozen burrito. It was not good. If you guys premade your own with a decent tortilla, 2-3 eggs and whatever else I’d pay $10-$12 for that. Also I think every coffee shop in Seattle should absolutely have AT LEAST 1 vegan option for food. Cheers.
Edit: thanks for the lovely response. I’ll come through anonymously and grab one to upload here and prove you...
