I went in to get a quick buzz cut before a trip and was able to get an appointment with Jackson. I told him I wanted a 1.5 guard on the top with a low fade to a .5 on the side. He started on the top and I immediately thought âwow that seems really short,â so I asked him if he was using the right guard. He said he was and then 10 seconds later he realized that he actually had used a 1, which may not sound like a big difference but it was definitely noticeable. He insisted that it would still look fine and kind of brushed it off as no big deal. He then tried to charge me for the haircut, which I declined.
I wouldnât normally call someone out like this but:
My advice: save yourself the hassle and find someone other...
Read moreIâve been twice. The first time it was a little weird because the hair dresser seemed like he really didnât want to wash my hair. I finally got him to after he cut it. I assume a wash and dry should come with the price. But it was a pretty good haircut: nothing fancy. The 2nd time he cut it considerably shorter than I wanted. Didnât get a wash/dry, but the part that really lost stars: After i realized how short it was I voiced my anxiety about how it would look. When I asked him how it looked he said: âitâs not badâ, and âyour personality is what makes you who you are, not your hair.â .... which convinced me my haircut looked awful on me. I left feeling so bad and worried. Not the way I like to feel after leaving a salon... later when I finally got a good look at the back of my hair (never shown to me at the salĂłn) i realized my hair was cut shorter in the back and longer in the front (presumably to try to hide how short he cut it) and the whole perimeter was uneven. Iâm going to have to go elsewhere to...
Read moreI've gotten a few good haircuts out of this barber, and they definitely are one of the more budget friendly shops on the hill. However, I am really dissapointed with the last cut. I came in, showed the barber a photo of the haircut he had previously given me. We discussed the taper, and he said he got it. He then proceeded to lop-off 4-5 months of hair growth, and completely alter the hairstyle without asking. I did forget to tell him to keep it long on the top (hence 2 and not 1 stars) but I thought it was obvious from the picture. Ultimately though, you shouldn't remove THAT much hair and drastically alter the hairstyle without double checking. The end result just looks awful as well - friends agree it looked way better before he ruined it. I won't...
