Bar Cantinetta — Restaurant in Seattle

Horrible service tonight. Our reservation was originally made for a party of 4 just before we arrived. But I told the waitress a 5th person would be joining us when I arrived. She discussed several options for adding that person to our outside table, then returned inside. I thought she was getting another place setting. Instead, she neglected our table for the next 15-20 minutes. When the 5th guest arrived no place settings or additional chair had been provided and the waitress was nowhere to be found. Looking bewildered, my friend saw there was no place for him at the table, said he’d go home and get something to eat, then left. When the waitress finally came outside to check on us I told her the extra person arrived, but had no where to sit so he left. She laughed and brushed me off. Meanwhile, the small table next to us was empty the entire time we were there. It was my idea to go there, and I picked up the check for my guests. In return, I was disrespected and humiliated by my waitress. I will NEVER return to Bar...

Happened upon while on a stroll of Madison Valley neighborhood. Very quaint area and we decide to stop in for a quick drink. The place was so busy, but upon entering we were shooed away by a perfectly manicured waiter stating that they were closed. There were literally a 100 diners in the restaurant. Taken a back by his curt and snarky attitude we left. I am a business woman, so thought, we'll just go back in and sit at the bar for a glass of wine while they finish processing diners. We went back in and walked straight to the bar and asked if we could get a quick drink. The bartender told us no that they were trying to close. I know that neither of the people we encountered at bar cantinetta were part of ownership, feel badly for the owner who, I'm sure, would never turn thirsty...

If I can give a 0 star to this restaurant, I will give a zero. They overbook customers and force customers to change their reservation / make compromises at very last minute. They are also terrible in customer service, not rude but very inconsiderate. In my case, I booked it through Open Table well in advance and they called me 2 hours before my reservation and asked me to come in an hour later than my initial reservation which is too late for our guests. We tried to be flexible but they didn't really try to work things out. When I called them, they basically just try to tell me there is nothing they can do and keep using Open Table as the excuse on overbooking. Don't go to Bar Cantinetta if want to have a planned meal because they will make you change it at...
