I came in on a Sunday afternoon during a SeaHawks game. It wasn't crowded, which was nice, but definitely active on the bar side of the joint. Since there were few of us on the restaurant side, service was excellent. The waiter came up immediately with water and the menu. She was friendly and made sure that I was well taken care of, coming back to the table frequently to ask how I was doing and refilling my drink.
The food was delicious. I ordered lasagna that came with a side salad and bread. The pasta in the lasagna was cooked just right. Not overcooked or under cooked. The sauce was surprisingly sweet, but not so much so that it was off putting. I found I rather enjoyed it from the savory sauces I am used to. The lettuce in the salad was fresh greens. Points there as many restaurants find it acceptable to dish browning lettuce. I would say the only thing I missed was that there was no ranch available for the salad. I'm not sure if this is not something that is normally carried or not, but as a ranch lover, I did miss it. The blue cheese dressing was okay, but just not the same.
The portions of the food compared well with the pricing. I did end of taking home some left overs. Overall, it was a great experience in the restaurant and I will be back to try some more...
Read moreThis was my second time eating here, and i was not impressed. The food is just okay, the server was incredibly rude, judge mental and only checked in with us once before she brought us the check. Beverages are incredibly overpriced for what they are ($4.25 for a soda??- that is outrageous). We were charged a 20% gratuity for our party of FOUR, and this charge was added after the initial check was brought to us (we were originally given a receipt stating our total was $108, and when the check was brought back, we were charged $128 and a 20% charge was added). We would’ve had no problem with tipping 20%, however there was no disclosure listed on their website or on the receipt about a gratuity being automatically added to the bill. Our server also made a snap judgement of someone in our party because 3 of us had our vaccination cards, and the other showed a negative COVID test. Never...
Read moreBeen a staunch supporter of this Capital Hill gem for years and never reviewed it so here you go!! Had a work group of 6 this week for dinner and drinks and as always Olympia Pizza/Harry’s did not disappoint. Staff was great and tended to the group as good as you could ask. The owner even made frequent stops at our table to ensure everything was going well. Food was spot on, was hot, and way more than any one person should eat. Best of all one of the few places in Seattle you can get an ice cold Radeberger Pilsner on draft served in an authentic German mug. Whether dining in or taking out this establishment is well worth a stop and very affordable as your to go of leftovers will easily be your lunch the next day. Thank you and keep up the...
