I hate writing poor reviews because I know it's hard for places to stay open, but to be honest I haven't been so disappointed in a meal since I went to a diner that served me undercooked pancakes... 😬
Got the pad thai w/ crab and prawns - crab was okay but very flavorless and it had 2 shrimp in it. Visually there was a small amount of sprouts and peanut grumbles, but no actual taste of them. The worse part though was that I chose a 4 (highest heat) and there was no spice to it. Overall did not taste like pad thai.
Others got the drunken noodle and the pad see ew, both level 3. They seemed a bit spicier than mine somehow? But not at all what I would expect from a thai place or a 3 on a menu. And again...very boring and lacking in flavor.
Also got several appetizers to share, which were okay but very lackluster. The crab rangoon was nice and crisp, but the paste inside had the absolute worst texture (like wet sand) and barely any flavor.
In general, very flavorless and not at all spicy when we ordered 3s and a 4 for all...
Read moreThis is our absolute favorite Thai place! We travel from Port Orchard to come eat here because it is so WORTH the drive!!! We try to come at least once a month (even for carry out when dine-in was restricted due to COVID), but we’ve been known to come many times a month! The Owner is always super friendly and the food is seriously the BEST Thai food in WA that we’ve ever had. Spot on EVERY SINGLE TIME!! And such a nice atmosphere for a date night. I wish they could start the comedy back up....maybe one day when this COVID crud is over. Go eat here!! You won’t be disappointed!! My mouth is watering as I’m typing this just thinking about the amazing food....we are on our way there tonight. Oh, Spicy 🌶 Basil 🌿 is one of our top favorites!! And don’t forget the Bacon Fried Rice and the Spicy Green Beans. Ok, I’m out now 😂 ...heading in to eat ALL...
Read moreI saw the great reviews and really wanted to like this place. But the Tom Kha that was brought out at 11:30pm by the owner was made with old coconut milk and there are little bubbles from bacteria breeding on top of the soup. I pointed this out to the owner who happens to be the same one who brought it out, but he said it's fresh. I know it's not fresh from cooking with coconut milk myself at home, but couldn't get out of eating it (hoping I could be wrong maybe? 😢I second-guessed myself and ate it. The Khao Soi was also made with coconut cream but less, and didn't have as many small bubbles.
The next morning, I woke up with this stomach pain that's quite unusual. I'm sure it came from the coconut Tom Kha as I'm in-tune with my body and know when something is off. Other than that, the venue was nice, parking easy and the service...
