Wow, unbelievable experience. Friends birthday. She said she wanted to go here cause they had good poutine the last time she was there 12yr ago. Times are a changing. I made, definitely not needed, resi for 5, 3 adults 2 teenagers. When we arrived we were shown a table that had the hot sun beating down on the 6 top table inside the restaurant. There were 2 empty10 top tables in the middle of the room and the rest were 4 top booths. Told waitress we needed to switch tables. Most all the booths were empty too. Overall the place was kinda empty. She said booths are for 4 ppl. I said "how about the long table?" (deeper into the room with no direct sun) she agreed. Drinks..1 beer, 2 virgin strawberry lemonades, and my drink: bourbon separater, (Kailua, bourbon, and cream on top, made on ice in a bucket like a White Russian, dont stir).. I was served a stirred up drink in a chimney tall glass. The bartender is the person I gave my order to. He did not inform me there was no Kailua in the bar. Just made it the way he wanted. WRONG. The virgin lemonades were not right either. There was one reddish drink delivered which actually was a full cocktail. My friend tasted it and thought it tasted funny. Yep booze. The wagyu Smith burgers were tasteless and soggy. Mine wasn't even cooked through. The menu said we had a choice of French Fries or salad. We chose salad and the bartender/waiter said the salads were $5 more each. I showed him on the menu where it says it comes with the burger. He showed me his handheld electronic order machine adding $5 to the bill. Again, I said that's not right the menu says it's a choice. He said the Fries are with the burger but the salad $5. I asked for manager. He said there was no manager. We took the soggy fries. Smh. There seemed to be only the bartender and one waitress working the inside and sidewalk dining/drinking area. The mushroom poutine was ok. Chicken marsala was ok. Wings were over cooked. We didn't order birthday dessert there cause we were afraid of what we'd get. Went somewhere else for dessert. Overall, the experience was a definite disappointment. We won't return. I'd say dont bother...
Read moreWe had an amazing 2nd server. However, our first server refused to take our food order, “I can’t do that, I’ll be back later”. We placed our order at 115pm, but did not receive the order until 250. The first server acknowledged that it was taking so long and brought us cold potatoes to compensate the wait! The kitchen was refusing to cook our order!!! The entire restaurant which was not busy for a Saturday brunch had been sat, ordered and ate, and paid before we received our order! The only reason we had t left us because we were told that our food was on its way. My wife received an unseasoned steak & eggs with a broken chimichurri that was greasy sauce. I finally received my fried chicken and waffles at approximately 255, 15 minutes after my wife received her breakfast. The chicken was dry, overcooked, the waffle was also overcooked. The only reason we ate our brunch was because how hungry we were, and were told over and over that our food was on the way! Hindsight, we should have left 30 minutes in! We will never return to this restaurant. Bloody Mary’s were good, bartender & server #2 were great! Again, kitchen was refusing to cook our orders! A manager should have been on duty, and that kitchen crew needs to be replaced. I’m a 20 year veteran of kitchens, and was a successful owner of 3 restaurants! We will never be back....
Read moreThe food here was delicious!
Very cozy place and really good environment.
The service was great! Attentive and caring for us during the whole meal!
We ordered a few plates to share and try the menu:
For the appetizer’s Deviled Eggs: They were incredible! And the mustard seeds were a delicious touch on them 100% recommended
Burrata Salad: The burrata was really good! And the seasoning of the salad was delicious.
Salmon Tartar: Very good and fresh :)
For the main dishes:
Fried Chicken Sandwich: this is a must, I loved it, crispy and tasty! sweet potato fries available to substitute, and that was a great choice!
Fish tempura: the tempura was crispy and tasty, and the fish inside juicy and great! Some places fry the fish too much and it dries, this is one of the best fried fish I had in a while!
Paella: being from Spain, I’ve got a said that it was good, but I was a bit disappointed. I would not order it again, too many clam shells on it, and for some reason it was spicy…
Desert:
Fried banana: This was perfect! Crispy and soft, and the coconut milk was the perfect match!
Overall: a great experience! We...
