I had some of the worst customer service I have ever received in my life yesterday. First I spend a total of 4 hours on the phone with Comcast, then I go to Loweâs for help with a deck project and it seems like all Loweâs does is hires bodies not professionals. Then I decided since I was in the area and Iâm a proud Philadelphian Iâd stop and pick up some sandwiches for home. I ordered 4 cheesesteaks to go and was told about 15 minutes as they were swamped it was lunch rush. It took about 35 minutes and they could tell I wasnât very happy and did apologize. I racked it up as just another piece of an already bad day. I was second guessing the tip I already gave ( 20%) again I wasnât having a good day so I was stewing on everything. I got home we ate some very good and still very hot sandwiches considering I live in Auburn I was surprised. My internet was still acting up still having a bad day... This Morning whilst checking my email I noticed one from American Express. It was a credit back from Calozziâs for half my order. That was totally unexpected and not necessary but appreciated. That tells me a lot about this company and itâs values. Customer satisfaction is their goal and they now have a customer for life. I would have gone back anyway as the sandwiches were good but I typically go to that other place in Seattle. I wouldnât have mentioned the problem I had the first time as really it wasnât a problem just my bad day. I canât express how good it is to know that there are companies that value their customers and their customers time. Thank you to the staff and owners of Calozziâs I am a...
Read moreI have been enjoying Calozzi's for many years now. Every few months I stop in for my fix of what used to be the best cheesesteak in Seattle. I'm not sure if the owner changed recently but I want to update my review with some constructive criticism. First, I typically order the regular steak or ronnie wit onions and done Joey style (half wiz, half provolone). Today I was told you can't do half cheese but if you want extra cheese you can pay for it. This was sad but I figured it would be interesting to try full on wiz. Unfortunately the bulk of the wiz ended up on the foil wrapper and most of the meat in the bun was cheese-less. I consider cheese a very important part of a 'cheese'steak so my first recommendation is to find a way to mix the cheese with the meat or get some of it inside the bun before loading it up and bring back the Joey style. Secondly, something changed with the buns. They are more dense than they used to be. If there's any way to return to the old style buns, I would do it. I'll probably try Calozzi's again in a few months and hopefully it's back...
Read moremhmmmmm! first time at Calozziâs, and I will definitely be visiting again and telling all my pals!
Calozziâs is located on the corner of E Marginal and a residential street so parking can be a bit of a difficulty depending on time and day youâre visiting.
There is exterior benches and a walk up counter, and an interior which is quaintly small (but smells AMAZINGGG!)
My first experience was with a regular olâ steak sandwich âwit onionâ and cheese whiz. The onion is chopped finely and cooked with the steak on the grill top. I like it this way more than slices piled on top. Less messy, (as if a cheesesteak could possibly be âless messyâ.) I also really liked the whiz they used. Had a nice cheese flavor and wasnât too salty. Awesome bread, sturdy enough to hold the massive amount of steak and cheese, but soft and flavorful. Iâm not a cheesesteak genius, but I have had one before from Patâs in Philly and I PERSONALLY enjoyed this one from Calozziâs better.
Keep up the...
