Decided to order take out from Easy Caribbean from the U District Eats place off of Roosevelt Way NE. I had the Jerk Chicken plate with Rice and it was absolutely delicious! I can’t stress enough how flavorful the chicken was since it’s marinated in authentic Jamaican jerk marinate/seasoning. Soo yummy. In addition, the chicken itself is cooked to perfection, very juicy and succulent. I need to stress that it’s cooked thoroughly, didn’t see any pink spots anywhere. It was impressive how they cook it so thoroughly without drying out the chicken. Very Juicy. The side of rice I had was very flavorful and I believe it has some type of beans in it but the side was primarily rice. Not gonna lie, I could just eat the rice by itself as a main item, very good. I also ordered a side of jerk sauce, got the spicy version and it was terrific too. It’s an interesting mix of sweet, savory tones with a kick of spice in it. I would say the spicy-ness isn’t too strong, so I wouldn’t worry about setting your mouth on fire lol. But still a good spicy kick nonetheless. Overall, I had a wonderful experience ordering out with this place and I plan to come back very soon, it’s definitely going to become my go-to spots. If you’re looking for an authentic, home-cooked style Jamaican food, definitely order from Easy Caribbean asap! You won’t be...
Read moreEven though I have eaten at many great restaurants here in Seattle, I've never written a review before. Easy Caribbean was SO GOOD I just have to let people know. It's hard to pick a favorite dish. There were 6 of us so I feel lucky that we were able to sample a wide variety.
The Jerk chicken was amazing! It was good that we got 2 orders of it because we were all going for seconds! The fried chicken and brown stew chicken were awesome. I'm not a fan of oxtail so wouldn't have ordered it myself, but I am so glad that we got it. It was delicious. Now, I will get it every time! We all shared the doubles, festivals, plantains, curried channa, mac pie, steamed vegetables, rice & peas and white rice along with the island fruit punch and sorrel to drink. I'm addicted to the fruit punch! We all raved about each dish. Everything was so fresh, unique and tasty. If you want a truly great meal, don't miss Easy Caribbean. I really hope you try it as I can't...
Read moreIt is becoming all too common to dine out and regret the decision to do so in Seattle. Took a break from cooking and ordered from this business. Upon arrival I was given a notification that my food was ready but when I went in, the food was nowhere to be found. I called the business number and no answer. I requested to have a rep come out and no one came out. 10 minutes later a guy came out with the food. He gave a lemonade on the house and apologized for being late. Getting home and eating I noticed the rice and peas were very dry. The festival did not taste too well along with their other breaded dish. The fish was ok. The only items out of everything that tasted great was the channa fry bake sandwich and the lemonade. Taste of the Caribbean seems to be the best consistent Jamaican/ Caribbean restaurant in the Seattle area. Unfortunately, will not...
