Persepolis Grill is hands down my most favorite restaurant in Seattle, and honestly, it might just be the best Persian spot in the entire city. This place feels like a hidden gem that you share with people you really like. Anytime someone visits me from out of town, this is where I take them, and it has never disappointed.
The environment here is warm and inviting. It’s not over-the-top fancy, but it’s got this understated charm that makes you feel welcome. The servers as well as the owners are incredibly kind and attentive.
But the best part about Persepolis Grill is their food. All their meat is halal and cooked to perfection. The lamb and chicken are consistently flavorful and tender, packed with just the right amount of spices. I sometimes do not like the overly spicy food in Indian restaurant, and hence Persian cuisine has become one of my favourites since moving to Seattle.
My absolute favorite is the Barg steak—it’s so tender and rich in flavor. A close second is the lamb chops, which are perfectly seasoned and soft in texture. If I’m being honest, the Cornish hen isn’t my favorite, but everything else on the menu is stellar.
Moreover, they have good vegetarian options. I bring all my vegetarian friends here.
I do not like posting reviews, but I decided to make an exception for this place. This is one of my most frequented restaurants, and every single time it’s been special. If you’re in Seattle, whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is one spot you absolutely have to try.
Update: Since posting this review, I have been there 3 more times, still want to go...
Read moreI have been going there for almost 18 years although the owners have changed. It was always very pleasant to visit and clean and good service, excellent food. I went with family on 4/30/22 and the experience was terrible compared to previous visits. The waitress seemed unwelcoming and unpleasant. She looked part Hispanic, in her 20's (mentioning this just so you know who it was. Do not have the name). We were 4 of us, got three plates and 2 menus for all of us so we had to share the greasy menus. The prices were overwritten with a ball point pen looked like a child's writing. She gave the plates, etc as a pile with missing forks for all 4 of us. We had to ask for clean utensils. She took the order wrong and missed one, Steak Kebabs. We had to ask again. Food was sort of ok. Not like previously. The decor was also horrible. Water had no ice and the jug needed a wait lifter to pour! I am glad I am working out or would be thirsty. The women's bathroom was blocked, Men's had urine all over. Also heard a loud crashing sound from the kitchen hoping my food was not picket from the floor. The waitress said no! The cook was wiping his nose as he put the dishes on the window from the kitchen. They need to fire the depressed waitress and clean up. The waitress also wiped her forehead before she gave us our left overs that we gave our dog.He loved it! She was also cleaning with a broom while we ate at the table. I will be never going back again. For a bill of $115 w/o drinks and 4 dishes, not worth the money. The restaurant has started to fit the junky neighborhood. Please read before...
Read moreToday, we had the pleasure of dining at Perspolis, a gem of an Iranian restaurant owned by the ever-hospitable Mr. Kaveh. From the moment we walked in today, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality, making us feel like cherished guests in a friend's home.
Our meal was a delightful exploration of Iranian cuisine. We started with the Koobideh, which was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, its flavors rich and robust. The Joojeh, tender chicken kebabs, were succulent and bursting with aromatic spices that tantalized our taste buds.
The Barg, tenderloin beef kebabs, were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, showcasing the high quality of ingredients used. The Shishlik, lamb ribs, were an absolute highlight - juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Finally, the Lamb Shank was a masterpiece, slow-cooked to achieve a fall-off-the-bone tenderness, infused with delicate spices that created a symphony of flavors.
Mr. Kaveh's personal touch and dedication to his craft were evident in every dish we enjoyed. His attentive service and genuine passion for Iranian cuisine elevated our dining experience to extraordinary heights.
For anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable Iranian dining experience, Perspolis is an absolute must-visit. We left with our hearts and stomachs full, eager to return and savor more of their...
