On the way to Molly Moon's from a movie, I passed by the Fainting Goat and made a mental note to check it out. I liked this restaurant. I learned that the difference between ice cream and gelato is that gelato has a lower butterfat content, typically containing 4-8% butterfat, compared to 14% for ice cream in the United States. However, both gelato and ice cream share similarities as frozen desserts.

I enjoyed the Fainting Goat, and in some ways, I preferred it over Molly Moon. It had a more relaxed atmosphere without loud and annoying people, and they even had a couch to sit on. The only drawback was that they charged for waffle cones, and the cones didn't look fresh. Despite that, the gelato was delicious, and they let me try a few different flavors. I may choose to go here for dessert instead of Molly Moon when I'm...

Seattle does not want for excellent ice cream options, but Fainting Goat stands out for a few reasons.

First, it is named after the greatest animal on Earth, those crazy mutant goats that faint if you startle them. Seriously, go look it up on Youtube.

Second, they have surprisingly good espresso for an ice cream shop.

Third, they will pour that espresso over any of their flavors to make affogato for you. The key here, is to get it poured over the salted caramel, which is pretty seriously salty. The resulting mixture of flavors and textures is one of the greatest wonders in the world, and should be enjoyed as often as your...

For quite awhile I’ve been on a mission to find a good gelato shop in the Seattle area. After visiting several and not being overly impressed I came upon The Fainting Goat. I must say I was a bit taken back and skeptical of the name of the place but hey, what do I have to loose? I tried the tiramisu and it was amazingly delicious! The one downside is they actually charge you $0.40 to put it on a cone. Nope, not a fancy or waffle cone… just a sugar cone in general. For the amount we pay for the scoop that should be included. Or you’d think it would be. Overall I had a great experience and will be back when I’m...

I got this after I came from Indigo Cow 😂. So we have indigo cows and fainting goats. I ordered the small hoping it was a small. NOPE. It was a cup FULL of gelato. I got fig and hazelnut. The fig was very sweet. The hazelnut tasted like hazelnuts (duh) but it was the flavor so it didn’t come with any hazelnuts in the gelato. They have a mint marshmallow flavor that looked interesting. The people working here were also very friendly and patient. I think the only recommendation I would make is to have a trash can nearby. Man I’m going to get diabetes if I keep this up. All this ice cream

This place is the GOAT. My review is biased because BABY GOATS. Support this place. How can you not. Its gelato and other items. I like the Oregon hazelnut a lot. Pear ginger and pistachio. Banana nutella was good too. The staff is friendly. Got a free shirt. But back to GOATS. They had baby goats for their 10th anniversary -it was AMAZING. You can't not give them 5 stars when they bring people and baby goats together.
