TO ALL THE GIRLIES & GUYS WHO ALWAYS READ REVIEWS BEFORE TRYING OUT A NEW PLACE, PLEASEEE BELIEVE ALL OF THE BAD ONES & AVOID THIS PLACE! I have NO idea how this salon is still open??!!

If i could rate this a 0 star i would !!

She tried scamming me out of $655.89 (Claimed that another worker mistakenly entered the wrong amount which is false bc it was only her working that night & she was the one who checked me out.
) **mind you my actual total was $55. I tipped $6 despite how bad the experience was and still got scammed. When i tried getting my $ back, she made all types of excuses as to why she couldn’t refund me. She told me that she has been in the industry for 20 years but seemed so clueless when it came to getting help from the bank for an “overcharged” mistake. All I needed was a customers copy of the receipt and she wouldn’t send it to me. She stalled on sending me the copy bc she knew it would be proof on how i was never charged that much nor did i tip ANYTHING remotely close to that amount. Mind you, we had about 25 calls in total going back & forth in a span of 2 days. I had to repeat to her every time we spoke that i just need a customers copy of the receipt. She eventually sent me a ZELLE REFUND when i said i’d involve the law. I didn’t realize i got overcharged until weeks later when the charges finally went through my bank btw.

This is probably why i’m seeing newer reviews say she only takes Zelle or cash now probably bc all of the scam reports to her bank!

I went in for a regular pedi at 7pm and left at 10pm. Mind you there were 4 other customers there. SHE WAS THE ONLY WORKER IN THE SHOP. NOBODY ELSE. But she took all of us in & started 2 manicures & 2 pedicures at the same time. When i realized what was going on after waiting so long, i told her i’d just come back to get my pedi done the next day, she insisted i get it done that night instead. So i stayed. She would switch off working on each customer every 10 minutes or so. When trying to get a refund over the phone with her, she admitted that the other customers who were there that night had also reported getting overcharged by her. (What a coincidence?!) thats when she begged me and literally cried hysterically over the phone asking me not to report her because too many reports have already been made. She also claimed she was at a funeral of one of her parents, but then told me to meet her at her shop to talk in person about everything not even 5 minutes later
? (she was obviously lying & i think she forgot that we were speaking on the nail shops direct phone # the whole time
.) Very odd. Anyway, I absolutely refused to do that and told her we can fix this through the phone. There was no reason I would have to go to her shop to “talk” about anything. She also kept blowing my phone up after refunding me to the point where my boyfriend picked up and politely asked her to stop calling. We had to block her because she wouldn’t stop. She started calling me on a different #! VERY UNSANITARY!! She used the SAME bowl of water to soak the tools that she was using for the girl next to me & i’s pedicure. I could see how uncomfortable the girl next to me was getting as well. ALSO the quality of her work is rushed & terrible. She doesn’t clean your nail beds, she doesn’t scrub your feet. The nail polish seems cheap & chips literally the next day. Not worth it!! It’s like she just soaks your feet in water, takes it out, does a little buff then paints your nails. Wth? This was my second time here. The first experience wasn’t that great either but the only reason why i went was because the shop is open super late & after work was the only time i truly had to get my toes done! Also not that i found this nail salon on Groupon. That’s a whole other story! The only thing i feel bad for is the little baby in the play pen which is placed in the middle of the shop. He must be sitting in the shop all day. There’s no way that’s good for his health! Smh. She also tends to him in the middle of juggling 4...

Now that I've had time to calm down and think clearly about the situation I can make a post about the terrible experience that I had at nightlight nails on 45th. I thought I'd give the place a try since it's closer than the one I usally go to but I regret going.

First the general atmosphere was welcoming but the closer you look at the place the grosser it looks. There was random polish and cuticle oils laying around the color books they had for gel were poorly maintained and things just looked messy and disorganized.

I went in for a gel pedi and mani, they had limited color options and I had to ask for more colors twice before the lady gave me a second color book but then the manager gave me swatches of new stuff they had (with out telling me that it was an ASTRONOMICAL up charge for them) I found one that I liked and It happened to be a "cat eye" polish that usally costs more and I expected that. The lady who was helping me told me that it would be $10 extra wich is usual for special polishes but when I went to pay the manager said it was $40 extra!

The pedicure was rushed and poor quality from when she was trimming my cuticles (she nicked me) to when she was doing the body scrub and lotion, she put my feet into bags of warm wax (one was leaking btw) and left them to soak before doing my manicure half way then calling over the manager to finish. She then started on another lady who had come in and was waiting with her feet soaking for at least 15min. The manager paints the polish on my nails and tells me to cure them three times wich is excessive( but hey im not an expert). Diring this my feet are still in the wax and its cooled and uncomfortable i ask her to take it off and the manager has the first lady do it and finish the pedi. Thats when I take a better look at my mani and I see that on most of the fingers on my left hand she's missed painting entire corners and on my middle finger she missed the tip of the nail completely! I showed the first lady who was helping me how it was missed and she was gathering things to fix it but I saw that she was harried because she was in the middle of starting to work on the other lady and I felt bad. I was expecting them to lower the price or discount it since it was poorly done but she didn't say anything. I had to wait for the manager to come over so I could pay and the first thing she says to me is "were celebrating my sons 21st please buy a $100 gift card" all I'm thinking is no way am I buying a gift card, I never want to come back here again!

That's when she tells me that I owe her $140! Thank goodness she was able to give me a discount for being a new customer and that brought it down to only $130 😒 (I still tipped $10 so I ended up paying $140)

I was shocked, confused, and feel like I got robbed. I'm not craven and not enough of a Karen to make a huge fuss about it so I paid with the thought of never going back there again.

I know that was a long rant but I had to get it off my chest and warn my neighbors not...

Worst experience I’ve ever had in a nail salon. I made an appointment for 4 and didn’t have anyone start until about 4:15. I had SNS (dip nail polish) on my nails and it was very clear the woman that helped me had no experience with removing SNS. After trying out multiple different techniques to remove the SNS she managed to spray my face with acetone and completely destroy my natural nails. She laughed after she sprayed me in the face with acetone and barely even said sorry, she was more worried that she had gotten it on herself. At one point she had another woman working there take the SNS off of the last few of my nails because she wasn’t sure what she was doing. The first woman watched over the shoulder of the second woman as she removed the SNS off the last few nails as if the second woman was teaching her what to do. The first woman cut down and shaped my nails but none of them were the same length or shaped the same or how I had asked and she only cut my cuticles on one hand. After expressing I did not want them to continue any longer (due to how horribly I was treated and the obvious lack of experience), I was surrounded by 3 people that were pressuring me to still get my nails done. They said I should get a different color SNS, then I said no thanks and they suggested regular polish, then I said no and they continued to ask “why not?” which was extremely uncomfortable. I’m not one to speak up in a situation like this but I didn’t want to have my nails ruined any more or have to pay for more subpar service. I said I would pay for the service I had received since I didn’t want to be rude or ungrateful that the first woman helping me had spent 45 minutes taking off my SNS. When I went to pay at the front counter Van, who said she was the manager, told me to come back in and she would help me next time and gave me some 20% off coupons. I honestly feel that they did not care to know how they could improve which is disappointing for a business based on customer service.

I am giving this review to warn others that have SNS on currently and are looking to get it off. Overall customer service was not good and it is not worth your time or...

I went for a mani + pedi as a little treat for myself before my wedding day. The pedicure lady was nice and did her job well. The manicure lady however rushed me from the very beginning, she hurt my cuticles while cleaning and was very rude to me. Everything here is an extra charge after you buy a Groupon. Which I happily paid for but the service was nothing short of horrible. The mani lady was rude from the beginning and I could see her talking about me to the pedicure lady which I wasn't comfortable with. Apart from that she was on call the whole time and also splitting time between me and the other guests. She painted my nails a particular color which I didn't like and she tried to just dismiss it saying it looks beautiful (not even caring for my opinion). I asked for a color change and she said that would be additional charge which I paid in full. But even after that I received a botched manicure with hurt cuticles. She didn't even clean the previous color off my nails and when I asked her to; she replied saying that it will go away on its own. I had to rush to another salon the day of my wedding to get it repaired because it looked awful. In total I paid more than a $100 for the botched job and I left the salon crying because she made me feel so bad about myself when I should have been excited for my wedding. My fiancé was distraught that I had to go through such an experience a day before the wedding. Please spend the money at a better salon for a better service and save yourself a visit to this worst place.

Edit: Adding one star because my sister went back to get her nails repaired and had a much better experience. The nail tech listened closely to her feedback and delivered what was requested. My sister and I went to this salon to get our nails done for her wedding. There was only 1 person working. She assured us that she could get us done in a timely manner. Our manicures were very rushed and not relaxing. The nail tech was juggling not only my sister and I, but also a walk in client. My nails were not cleaned while doing manicure and I had glue around my nails. The nails also looked like bubbles on my fingers. My sister bled in a few places on her fingers. My sister told the nail tech it was for her wedding and the nail tech took it upon herself to add way more glue than was necessary for gel x nails to insure they stayed on through wedding festivities. A few hours later this extra glue was stabbing my sister under her nails. After my fingers were done, I was sat in a chair for a pedicure. It was not a pedicure. This nail tech saw I had a scrape on my leg and still put a scrub all over my leg that made my scrape burn. I got gel polish. It started coming off 5.5 days after I got it. Gel usually lasts 3-4 weeks for me. I’ve been to many nail salons and this was the first that had a toddler in a playpen in the back of the salon. Another thing that felt a little sketchy is that they only accepted Zelle. We will not be back and do not recommend this nail salon.
