Arabic Street Food just recently opened in the Wallingford neighborhood and it’s worth visiting. I had the chance to visit @Hamsa Seattle last week and the food and beverages at this cafe were delightful. Offering Middle Eastern plates and more, specifically Shami food. I tried out several plates, sandwiches and bowls and I really enjoyed their Crispy Cauliflower as well as their Grilled Garlic Chicken Sandwich and Tahini Kufta Bowl. Their Hummus was also so good, I might have to ask for 2 orders next time. If you’re craving delicious and elevated Arabic Street Food, I’d highly recommend Hamsa. Items Ordered -Fried Akawi Cheese -Crispy Cauliflower -Hummus -Tahini Kufta Bowl -Grilled Garlic Chicken Sandwich -Hibiscus Mint Lemonade -Pistachio Cold Foam Matcha #seattle #restaurant #fyp #Foodie #arabicfood

It’s my first time trying this place, and it did not disappoint! It’s really nice to see more places like this trying something new with the growing diverse environment. It’s off to a good start but there is definitely room for improvement. Firstly, the mint lemonade could use some more blending so that the sour, minty taste is spread throughout the drink rather than right at the bottom where it’s consumed before the drink is even half done. Secondly, sure there is Arabic writing on the menu (which I absolutely love to see) but I feel that the interior design is lacking any connection to the owner’s heritage & culture. There’s a lot of talk of this place being a “Palestinian-owned business” and I would’ve really liked to see more designs on the walls that showcase that. Like a mural(s) or large print from a photograph or even memorabilia from Palestine to give the customer a taste of identity. Overall, I thought the food was great & that it really stands out; now I look forward to seeing how this business will grow with the interior design in mind!

The falafel, hummus, chicken shawarma, tabouleh, kufta and espresso drinks are delicious. I love the gluten free pita bread, veggie and vegan options! I appreciate that it’s seed oil free as well. The food is cooked with avocado oil. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner options! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants authentic Arabic street food with fine dining flavors in a cozy cafe environment.
